Double sympathies for your friends? How are they mending?
Apparently pretty well. I've been getting updates from a mutual friend so she doesn't have to leave the hospital to get online and update everyone. She can just send one text and let that person update everyone. She said the surgery went so well that they are wanting to use it for teaching purposes, so that's positive. He's supposed to get out of the hospital already today or tomorrow.

How is you ds today?
He's ok during the day, but at night he has problems. He lies down and all the gunk in his sinuses goes straight to his throat and he starts hacking away. But today they don't have school (inservice day) so we're chilling at home. But, hubby had to take the car in for the repairs on the front where it scraped the speedbump on our street, which is WAY too high. You can't even really go at a crawl without scraping. So they will have the car overnight and we have to go everywhere by bus. So I have to take DD to musical theater class today, get her out 5 mins early so we can catch the bus, get home and scarf some dinner super fast so I'm ready when my ride comes to pick me up for the choir board meeting. Lazy day, crazy afternoon/evening...I hope DS can handle the cold with his cough.

That's wonderful. I hope they have some time to rest up and get better

I'm so sorry you're sick and it's while in Disney but 6 months for you is almost a miracle. I'm glad your immune system is improving and I hope whatever you have is nothing but a 24 hour nothing. Prayers and pixie dust. Please be safe when you get home
My doctor said that now that I'm in my 20s, everything will level out. A lot of asthmatics peak in childhood, level out as teens, and get bad again in their 20s. I peaked in my teens and levelled out in my 20s. Which is what my doctor thought would happen. We also know now better how to handle my asthma, so when I get colds, they're not turning into major asthma issues anymore. Basically, combination of me naturally improving plus knowing how to handle my asthma. Yes, I still have asthma and yes, I will shut down if someone sprays Axe around me, but overall, I'm much better than I used to be. I'm thinking this thing is viral because I have a sore throat, and I don't have tonsils, so sore throats are uncommon and usually viral in my case.

Not getting a stupid stomach virus in a year is the miracle. Even though my brother brought one home a couple of weeks ago. I never got it. And I normally catch every one of those that comes around.

Good morning @StarWarsGirl95 how are you feeling today? Any news on your school yet?
Achy and tired, but last night's asthma symptoms, with a few nebulizer treatments and some prednisone, have improved. Might just take it slowly and take my prortable nebulizer just in case.

No word from school yet. Hoping to know something by this afternoon.

More or less. There are still some items left that he has to pick up, which I put outside on the side of the house. Plus vinyl records that we need to split, and he still has my CDs. But I figure that can happen later, when hopefully things will be more settled.

The drama began with an incident on Sunday, though, because I heard him tell our daughter they were moving that day, which I wasn't too upset about, but then I asked him about the security cameras outside, if he was leaving them. That's when he said he wasn't moved out completely yet. So I told him then our daughter wasn't moving either. Unfortunately it turned rather ugly and our poor daughter was in tears, while he's recording me talking to her as she's sitting in his van with the door locked, so I couldn't even hug her good-bye. Then he mumbles something about just going over to his new place, seeing how things go and they left. Next thing I know he emails me and tells me she wants to stay there, so I say it's OK for one night only, but he responds he's keeping her all week and I'll get her for the weekend. I forward all the emails to my lawyer, who tells me yesterday that I needed to pick up my daughter early from school and keep her overnight, in order to establish the fact that I did not agree to his so-called parenting plan and show him that I will not put up with his carp. He said he normally would not advise doing this, but in this case he felt it was extremely important that I do so. Thus, yesterday was a horribly stressful day for me and my daughter, but in the end we had a temporary custody agreement in place until the court hearing in March.

But of course it didn't end there. Last night around 10:40pm Mr. Donkey texts me that since I took our daughter he would keep her until Saturday, which was NOT in the agreement (I'm supposed to have her starting Friday after school through Monday morning). So I had to forward all our texts to my lawyer, which included him saying he would enter the house without me, even though I told him I changed the locks. My lawyer threatened another ex parte notice unless Mr. Donkey was going to honor our agreement in good faith. It took a couple hours, but his lawyer said Mr. Donkey is not insisting on having our daughter on Friday and the agreement will be honored. At least for now until he does the next stupid thing.

So when's the party???
 Not enough facepalms to put here. At least he wants to keep contact with your daughter. Total opposite here.
