Cesar, sorry to hear about your mom's accident. I'm sure she was shaken up, regardless of whether or not she had any other injuries. I know that she will feel better soon with all of your family checking in on her. Best wishes to her.
so far she seems fine.. no injuries.. she is more angry at the damage on the car, which was brand new.. no seriously.. that car had less than a month out of the vendor.

Yes, but, washers are connected to drinking water supplies. I have no particular desire to consume reclaimed water while people waste what fresh water there is available. Once it's used... it's used. :depressed:

Hmmm...lake water is all mixed together. Goes into a water treatment plant and when purified it goes back into the system once all the ickyies are removed dumping it right back into the fresh water supply. I know all towns and cities that that feed off of lake michigan do this. Where does your reclaimed water get sent?

in other news.. I'm furious and also worried.
My mom got a new car mere weeks ago..
and some ahole just rear-ended her new car, because the dbag was probably going way above the speed limit and talking on phone.

My mother seems to be ok and is now waiting for my sister in the repair center of Nissan.

Not amused.. as a car hit can pretty much nail 20% of the car value in an instant.. even if its just dents..
and it was a NEW CAR with special proximity sensors for her.

I'm so sorry for your Mom. Pixie Dust and hope she is well.

so.. finally free? even if he had to pull the last DIVA moment?

More or less. There are still some items left that he has to pick up, which I put outside on the side of the house. Plus vinyl records that we need to split, and he still has my CDs. But I figure that can happen later, when hopefully things will be more settled.

The drama began with an incident on Sunday, though, because I heard him tell our daughter they were moving that day, which I wasn't too upset about, but then I asked him about the security cameras outside, if he was leaving them. That's when he said he wasn't moved out completely yet. So I told him then our daughter wasn't moving either. Unfortunately it turned rather ugly and our poor daughter was in tears, while he's recording me talking to her as she's sitting in his van with the door locked, so I couldn't even hug her good-bye. Then he mumbles something about just going over to his new place, seeing how things go and they left. Next thing I know he emails me and tells me she wants to stay there, so I say it's OK for one night only, but he responds he's keeping her all week and I'll get her for the weekend. I forward all the emails to my lawyer, who tells me yesterday that I needed to pick up my daughter early from school and keep her overnight, in order to establish the fact that I did not agree to his so-called parenting plan and show him that I will not put up with his carp. He said he normally would not advise doing this, but in this case he felt it was extremely important that I do so. Thus, yesterday was a horribly stressful day for me and my daughter, but in the end we had a temporary custody agreement in place until the court hearing in March.

But of course it didn't end there. Last night around 10:40pm Mr. Donkey texts me that since I took our daughter he would keep her until Saturday, which was NOT in the agreement (I'm supposed to have her starting Friday after school through Monday morning). So I had to forward all our texts to my lawyer, which included him saying he would enter the house without me, even though I told him I changed the locks. My lawyer threatened another ex parte notice unless Mr. Donkey was going to honor our agreement in good faith. It took a couple hours, but his lawyer said Mr. Donkey is not insisting on having our daughter on Friday and the agreement will be honored. At least for now until he does the next stupid thing.

So when's the party???

That pickle looks yummy.

Sadly, I don't know what it is about Jimmy John's but I can't eat the stuff. I eat it and don't feel well shortly afterwards. Something about their sandwiches and me. Subway I can eat. go figure.

Their sandwiches don't give me any problems like that, but, although, good enough, they're definitely not one of my favorites.
When I started back at the firm full-time, I noticed there was one just down the road, and I ordered from them a few times over the first few months (I had never had them before).
They were convenient, and the delivery was darn quick.
One of the first things I noticed was there always seemed to be so much lettuce, and not so much of everything else, especially meat (unless you wanted to pay for extra meat).
One day, just for grins, l ordered a sandwich with no lettuce. Talk sbout looking deflated.
I haven't ordered from them since, but, I ain't gonna' complain when it's free...! ;)

So very glad to hear she is still OK.
Sympathies about the car, but, hopefully they'll fix it right, like they promised.

Similar happened to me and my brand new '85 Mustang GT. It was about 2 months old when I was rear-ended sitting at a light. I was so pi**ed! I got outta' the car and started heading back to the other drivers car fuming when, all of a sudden, I saw this very petite, very pregnant young woman come out of the drivers side door. Well, that deflated me real quick, and all I wanted to do was make sure she was OK. She was crying, and I told her not to worry, carp happens.
Talk about calming the wild beast...! :hilarious:
