The site that shall not be named just broke that the Earful Tower will be down in the coming weeks. True here?

I have always thought that if it wasn't actually on land needed by TSL, it would be to close to be able to hide it.

Why would they go through the trouble of moving it when the park will no longer represent a studio?

A Studio Watertower is still a whimsical Old Hollywood Icon that'd work with the front half of the park. They could put it out in front of the turnstiles.

I'd like to see them keep it since it has been at the park since the beginning. Maybe put it in the parking lot at the tram u turn area so it could be seen from Boardwalk and the road out front or at the parking lot entrance gates once the new one is built.

I hear it's being scrapped. FWIW, the scale would be all off at the front of the park. It'd need to be about 60 feet tall on Hollywood Blvd. It would be neither hard not expensive to put a new water tower prop atop the Chinese Theatre, but will that work with the new not-a-studio theme?

while im for change, but its too bad these icons of the park are being scrapped rather than relocated
