I always push the thermostat down an hour before I climb into bed. Tonight I pushed it up. Crazy. I can hear the wind. But tomorrow should be worse. Joy Joy

Have been to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, which is very cool , but, never been to Kennedy. Need to fix that, someday.

Sister had a convertible an Oldsmobile, sure was fun to go to the drive in and watch under the stars. Too bad drive ins didn't last. You are so right, great memories. I especially loved the refreshment stand commercials!

Yep, many great memories from drive-in movie theaters for me, as well...!
Land prices were the ultimate demise of the drive-in...you can put a lot more beeeeehinds in seats in an indoor theater than ya' can cars in slots in a drive-in per real estate.
Plus, ya' can't sneak any friends into the indoor theater in the trunk of your car...!

Well when we Golden Gal's and tack on Dude's move into our Florida digs I think we should all take a detour road trip for dinner one Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is owned by our Cubs Manager.

Gas just dropped back down to under $3/gallon out here. The last few weeks it was at $3.09.

We are hang'n in the $1.95 range

Yeah, unfortunately my eyes can no longer see up close with my glasses, and I refuse to get bifocals. Do they make contact lenses with bifocals? Even so, I'm terrible at putting lenses in my eyes, even if it's not often. I get frustrated after about 10-15 minutes of effort.

I can see distance just fine. Up close, well those days are long gone. I still have piles of cheaters laying around the house and in the car but a couple years ago it got old. If I forgot to bring the readers into the store I could see expiration dates on food products, I couldn't read prices alway on clothing or sizes. I found myself asking my DD everytime I forgot readers to read for me and if I didn't bring glasses into the restaurant I felt like I was illiterate having someone read to me. I'm now on my second set of bifocals. My cheaters still work better on the computer because of the angle but and I don't wear glasses generally around the house but when I leave the house I put on the bifocals that have window glass for distance so I can function. I got away with cheaters for many years but there just came a time....

Valentine's Day is coming. Maybe one of the Gal Friends will come through.

My dh laid down the law no more pets until we get back from vacation. Not so much as a goldfish. I almost broke that rule right before Christmas. While I was out for a walk the sweetest little and I mean very little puppy started following me. After about a block I was getting ready to call to have it picked up. The I started thinking i might bring it home put up a few signs and alert the local shelters and have it checked to see if it was chipped. After about another block some person came by looking for it. Asked if I saw a puppy who looked like mine. If the police hadn't driven by and said that person was looking for their puppy it would have come home with me to get sorted out later. i felt so sorry for the little baby.

Good morning to one and all. My lunch out got changed to coffee this morning. It's in the teens and we're supposed to get about an inch of snow later. I think my friends have turned into wimps. Seeing we haven't used any days yet i think a few of them are worried about the kids getting sent home early. BTW @StarWarsGirl95 how long before we can start hunting groundhogs? 2 days of bitter cold is past my limit!

We always did that at drive-ins. Finally, the drive-in gave up and changed it's policy to a flat rate "per carload".
