Lost one of our little feathered freinds last night.Gutted.

We still have snow. The sun was to come out by noon. It never appeared and it is after dusk now.

Hate winter. I miss the sun and the warmth. Even the cool warmth we had.

I feel your pain as the sun never came out here yesterday and now it's just above freezing I'm thinking about running away from home and moving to Florida.

That's very nice that you make your ornaments. Do you know that if you go to Target, you can buy them already made?

I like the Christmas store in Liberty square and Target just doesn't measure up.

Who knew it would be so hard to find an iron!

How has it been hard to find an iron? are you looking for a specialty one? That's also an item I have more than one of 2 regular ones (one really good one nobody but me is allowed to touch and a nice cheap one for the men to use and I fuse with it) and a couple of little craft ones. I'm sure I'll be able to help you find a good deal.

My brother went on a field trip to DC today and brought me back this. Because he's a nice little brother. And knows me rather well.

Wow! Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends.

It's been a good 2000+ pages since my last visit. High school band director at a highly competitive marching band school = not a free minute from August until November. Been catching up with the family who I forgot I had for the past few weeks and finally am back to wdwmagic. Read the last few pages and am very glad to see that the more things might change, the more this crew stays the same. Good to see you all.

It was a very tumultuous year. There are some real issues and concerns going on with the head director (remember I'm just the assistant at the new school), but the kids pulled though and did a great job. We have such great kids! But, I'm quite glad to be out of marching band season and more in control of my own universe... 7 gigs for my jazz band in the next two months. That's where my passion is and I have a great group of kids willing to go with me!

More importantly...3 weeks until our next Disney visit. Another Xmas-New Year's week. Should be fun!

Sounds like you've still got alot on your plate but it's great that it's something that you're passionate about. Have a magical trip, you're so lucky to go over the holidays.

Thank you for reminding me to schedule a day in the city before the end of the month. it will be weird with no FAO Schwartz to go shopping in. The plan is to start at Macy's and walk up to Central Park. I'm hoping the weather will hold so we can go.

Tomorrow's Half-day Friday, and DWifey and I are off to San Antonio tomorrow evening, for the weekend, to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary (although, not actually until Dec. 10th)...!

I remember those days, they had so much fun setting everything up. Being 5 years apart in age the DS bored with it first along with his room tree. Then DD bored with it but still put up her room tree a few more years. This year her new apartment is all decked out with a skinny 6' tree. It looks so darn cute.

I've put very little out the last few years ever since they went off to college. I have a small tree vs the 8' er in the livingroom. It didn't work with the new furniture. I put out little touches of Christmas now.

I'm not a big decorator either, but put out "small touches" in a few spots, as you do. Our place is small, so less is more. For years now, I've had a really pretty Lenox Nativity set, that I always display on a side table in the livingroom. It's elegant and subtle.
