I use to watch a lot of the Food Channel shows. Then they on a whole got ridiculous or scripted. I also had little tolerance for Chef's whose premise was to be mean and insulting to restaurateurs in trouble. I don't garner any enjoyment out of people in power belittling others or being nasty to their staff. Fake or not I didn't find it pleasant so I don't watch the channel anymore. Originally before too many of them got big heads over pride they had some good ideas and techniques you could walk away with.
I wish they'd bring back Good Eats. Before we got a food dehydrator my dh dried all my herbs with a fan and some filters. Worked great!!!!!!!! My mil saw the contraption and bout me a dehydrator. My boys want to build the turkey fryer, Not on my watch LOL

It really wasn't a big surprise to me actually, and the explanation was sufficient enough, but, I was under the influence of pixie dust. ;) Plus, I've thought about if maybe Schlitterbahn here in Texas might be receptive.
I remember when my pop worked for IBM back in the day, when you signed on, if you so much as invented a knew kind of paper clip the IP was theirs.
One of my friends had a contract like that when he first graduated from college good first job in the field but they owned you. 24/7 It's amazing what some companies get away with

Happy pot luck Friday. Yep today's the day all the guys my dh works with have to bring in a healthier version of whatever they bring in and they have to make it themselves. My dh made his coleslaw last night and he only bothered me 10 or 12 times about how to do it.:cautious: It would have been faster and easier just to have done it myself:banghead::banghead::banghead: I'm armed with antacid, pepto, and other assorted tummy meds. LOL BTW my dining room is a disaster:eek::eek::eek::eek: Have a great day and has anybody heard from @MR FERRET?

My heart goes out to your hubby. I think he should just go buy a food item and bring it in. Sounds to me like he's overwhelmed in the kitchen with this project, after working all day. :)

A few times a year the guys do this and it has to be made by them. I know most of them and my dh is one of the better ones in the kitchen LOL It always has a theme this time it's healthy food last time it was BBQ. The guys think they're being helpful by making the food themselves

Well, if he enjoys the process that's all that matters then. (Still, I'll bet the BBQ theme was more fun!) ;)

That would wreck my Day. The very first thing I do usually before the sun comes up is flip the switch on the coffee pot. My choice would be 7/11, Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts to purchase a mornings worth of coffee.

They still have 7/11's. Haven't seen one of those in years.

7/11.....$
Dunkin....$$
Starbucks....$$$ (and that dumb cup situation). Honestly, where are people's priorities?
