Can't believe this dude reportedly drunk got this far climbing the pyramid in Epcot WS. Dear Lord.

You mean you aren't supposed to climb it? ;)

I hope it shows up today. I have both of mine going now. Oatmeal in one and a kasha, quinoa mix in the other. Both have diced apples, raisins one has mixed berries and the other blueberries

Oh this sounds so good. I think I will be using it in overdrive when it does come. (I checked and it's due next Tuesday. I had remembered wrongly.) I am going to start trying some of these rice cooker ideas you have thrown out there.

I'm not as I have errands to run and now everybody is going to tag along:cautious: Seeing I still have some catching up to do around here the guys better help or they're going hungry. How come it takes a week to catch up after only being down 3 days:confused:

Luckily here, everything is closed so no errands for me. Did have to go downtown for the service though. My little Beaver was marching in the parade. So proud!

I never ever had pizza from a chain I liked. :hungover:
I don't mind Dominos, but the pizzas here are different and not as good as in the states. The best pizza I ever had wasn't from a chain...it was a place in my mom's hometown, Dundee Illinois. Massi's pizza. They changed hands over a decade ago, and it's not the same, but when I was a little girl, whenever we'd go to Illinois, we'd go to Massi's and my uncle would get me to eat more and more by saying "Well, do you have room for dessert? If you have room for dessert, you have room for pizza! One more piece and you can have a Popsicle when we get home." And we'd get back to their house and he'd tell me we were out of Popsicles. Sometimes he'd walk us down the street to the Dairy Queen to get ice cream, though. Good memories.

Yes you are right. It is normal however this type of service just makes me uneasy. I genuinely appreciate great service don't get me wrong this to me is more 'waiting' on a table over service. It is just a comfort level and something I certainly not accustomed to.

I'm with you. I don't like strangers watching me eat. And I don't like them listening to my dinner conversations. I have certainly had this happen but most fancy places don't do this any more. Some watch you closely but from a distance.

Last night we had parent teacher conferences..always fun! DD's teachers called her a "dream child" and said they could have 30 of her. DS's teachers said they are giving him challenging material to see what he can do, especially in math as he's very good at it. And that his crying has gotten a LOT better. So I was 30 mins late to choir last night because of the conferences and we are learning new music and I'm the only person who can sight-read. So I walked in and the entire Soprano section got excited. "Yes! She's here! Come sit over here!" I felt very loved!
Then the bike repairman came to look at my bike today, which is making a weird sound...he said it would cost more to fix than it's worth. I was afraid of that. So now I need a new bike before Monday when I have to work. :( I can't complain....I got it from my in-laws, it was 2nd hand and I've had it now for something like 6 years and it was already old when my in-laws gave it to me. But, new ones are expensive and I am saving every penny for Disney that I can.

I love Texas, hubby and I vacationed in Austin, and loved the river walk. We also vacationed in Corpus Christi, you have a beautiful State. I saw some blue bonnets when we came in the early spring. I love that lady bird Johnson, had all those planted. No political statement...I just love blue bonnets.

Thank you! We like it here. :)

This coming August we will have been living in Austin for 40 years.
I was born in San Antonio, and love that city, as well.
Corpus is nice too. Among other things to do, they have a nice aquarium, and the USS Lexington (WWII era aircraft carrier with lots of history) is also there.

Nothing, to me anyway, political about Lady Bird Johnson's love of nature and plants.
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is here in Austin, and Town Lake (the portion of the Colorado River that runs through the City of Austin) was renamed Lady Bird Lake a few years ago.

Much beauty in this part of the country that many don't know about. :)

That's great that your kids are doing so well! Sorry about your bike though. RIP, bike.
