I've just been looking forward to the weekend! I've been having fun all day because of games and because my brother's dogs are spending the weekend at my house.

In my opinion you aren't missing much. I had to supervise I movie room last year for our middle school holiday (Christmas) activities and I got stuck with Despicable Me (I think it was number 2). I hadn't seen the first one and those little minions drove me nuts, I thought they were annoying.

They were supposed to be good, except for the latest, but other than Shrek and Puss in Boots, I don't go out of my way for the Dreamworks films. Disney and Pixar films, yes. Dreamworks...not really.

Thanks Minnie, this is a law I wasn't aware of. I need to check this out. This isn't the first time that our association went against state laws. We took out our front yard blue grass, which is crazy in the high desert, and put in rocks, spruce trees, and low water plants. We were threatened with a lawsuit. Fortunately we had an okay from the earlier board (which wasn't so power happy, about 20 years ago). And they had to back off. It was a hassle for over two years. I wish the government would ban these boards.

One of my friends in Florida had a heck of a time with her HOA! Legally, they can't ban native plants, but they told the home owners they had to have a specific kind of grass that is not native to Florida and doesn't grow well there, and she put in some plants that were native and they made her take them all out. She could have fought it, because it went against state law, but then she'd have to pay for a court case and lawyer and they were trying to milk her dry with made up infractions, so she finally had to give in. So sad that they can get away with that!

I'm going to watch both Rescuers movies back to back tonight to see if I can get myself to like them. As of now, I really WANT to like the first, and strongly dislike the second. Hopefully my opinions will change!

So sad that they can get away with that!

I know how she feels, our HOA says we can't put in a new flower without their approval. I'm glad our state legislature's are over turning these crazy rules!

I'm glad my neighborhood doesn't have a crazy HOA. I hear Coral Gables (which is literally across the street from me) has some crazy laws about what you can do with your house. Some things include you can't paint your house certain colors or park a truck outside your house.

Hey, that's great! Now we have even more good-tasting vegetables: tomatoes on pizza (1 veggie), and pumpkin pie (1 veggie). That's two veggies that actually taste delicious!! Keep em coming, @MOXOMUMD !

@MinnieM123 you are a bad influence. I just order those gloves, and the mickey stocking hat, and some of the minnie mouse socks, and the little mermaid socks (although those are for my niece).

My work is done! Another convert! Seriously though, you have excellent taste; you can never have too many Minnie items in your wardrobe. (Side note: Aren't those $10 play money coupons from Kohls just the best thing??!! )
