@Nick Wilde, I noticed the remix of that song has some dub step in it. Do you like that kind of music? If so, have you heard of Skrillex?

Although I also find it interesting that the YouTube link in your signature line is of a Rick Astley song. Who would have ever thought that huge voice came out of that skinny little guy? Or that his video would get over 151 million hits??? :D

That cat looks almost exactly like one I had named Tasha, who I got when I was in college. She was the perfect kitty. :inlove::inlove::inlove:

Funny side note: Her full name was actually Natasha, which I picked because I was reading a Piers Anthony book at the time and one of the main characters was named that because it spells "Ah Satan" backwards. Not that she (or the character technically) was evil, though. :D
I have all of Xanth books. :bookworm: :geek:

DD eats almost anything now. She was picky as a toddler, but now she's a lot better. They tell you here that what you eat during pregnancy sets the tone for your child's eating habits and if you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables during pregnancy and when you are nursing, they will like those foods. So not true. With DD, I had zero appetite and had a hard time finding anything that sounded good, and she eats almost anything. With DS, I ate tons of fruits and veggies and healthy stuff because I was determined to be healthier about it with him, and he won't eat any of that.

Yep, I got through the first few chapters of one of those Mommy to Be books and my DH was wide eyed as I got up walked to the kitchen trash can and chucked the thing in the garbage. Too many are written as if the audience they are targeting struggles for a double-digit IQ score. The added insult is they believe they are the disciples of the best practices.

I loved my OB she was great. Very positive woman. Then by 7.5 month I had gained half my body weight and she wasn't amused and sternly warned I wouldn't be able to drop that kinda weight. I told her I was hungry. Being short and starting out under 100# I didn't have anything in reserve. I gave birth to a 9# 22 1/2" long big block head of a boy. Biggest kid in the nursery. I was in the hospital 5 nights and when I left I came home in my normal people clothing, no sweats or prego clothing. By my six week check up I was in my pre pregnancy clothes and back to my pre pregnancy weight. So even the Docs you genuinely love and respect can be off target too. Pregnancy has its mysteries that just remain unexplained.

Also there's no guarantee that they're truly hypoallergenic - it's just that they're lower in whatever most people are allergic to. So you could pay a bunch of money only to have to sell or give the kitty away.
I agree. Those with cat allergies who really want a cat would be better off seeing an allergist and considering shots. It's not a sure thing, nor is it a quick and easy process, but if successful, it's a solution (oh, and they wouldn't just do it for cats; they test for multiple allergens and put in the solution whatever you're allergic to that they can treat). One of my friends' sister actually wanted a cat so badly that she got the allergy shots and now has a cat. I was actually mildly allergic to cats, and I got the shots for my more serious allergies, and the cat allergy is gone, and the rest of my allergies, minus a few, are much less severe. The only time I can feel it still is if the cat's fur gets in my eyes, but if it does, I take my eye drops and I'm fine. My parents are both mildly allergic, which is why we have a short hair, and for some reason, black cats and tuxedos don't bother them at all, so that's why we have a short haired tuxedo.

Much as I love cats, you should not bring an animal into your home if you are that allergic. It's obviously not good for you, and not good for the animal either. And in the meantime, there is the internet, with all of the cute cat videos you could ever want...

So, we're warchin' "Beat Bobby Flay", and Flay says, just before they pick which chef's gonna' go up against him, "It's gonna' come down to who's food tastes better." o_O
Who'd a' thunk...?!!! :hilarious:  ;) :)

I use to like Bobby Flay in various shows now not so much. A lot of these Foodie guys just kinda transformed into more reality TV divas. Likely why you saw more of the artful chefs pull away from the Food shows when they became so poorly scripted and staged. Kinda respect those who walked away.

And the same goes for dogs. Same procedures as you outlined. There are breeds that fling far more allergens than others. Mix breeds are always a risk. The best dog I've come across for people with allergies to dogs is the Chesapeake Retriever. Their coat is a bit wavy and has more natural oils and they tend not to throw dander or their undercoat. It is that undercoat with both cat and dogs and dander that often is the trigger.

Oh good, I was on Disney's website and was asked to take a survey. Why yes, I would LOVE to take a survey and tell you what I think of your website...

They would boot me off. I've always been highly critical of all their (many) websites. Can't wrap my brain around a major corporation falling so far behind in the world of tech when they were once, long ago cutting edge. Doesn't seem possible. Think of all the talented tech experts that would jump to head up bringing Disney up to speed given the licence to genuinely fix the mess.

Hahaaa...!
Yes, although I tend to be way more into the history, Imagineering, etc., DWifey and myself are both Disnuts! :)

And then the spawn of Disnuts the sequel.

We all tend to create generations of Disnuts. My Mom took me to Disneyland as a toddler. While she has gone to Disney Parks with me many times throughout my childhood and adulthood she never became addicted, still I hold her responsible for my addiction. :inlove:
