My sympathies to @MOXOMUMD, I hope you feel better when you wake up. Have you ever tried a combination of coffee hot, and a pain pill? That , and laying down in a very dark room with no sounds, used to help. That is the worst pain ever, I had cluster ones, and I swore it was worse than child birth. And kidney stones are worse than migraines.:mad:
I don't drink coffee but my bedroom has room darkening curtains (like a hotel) so I kept them closed today. My ex worked thirds and slept during the day. When he left I never bothered to buy new ones.

I had a very RUDE stylist once in college. She was just so mean and insisted that I had messed my hair up so badly that it needed to be cut off up to my shoulders to get it healthy again (it was all the way down my back) because I said to just cut off the dry, split ends. She was just trying to sell me the salon shampoo. She chopped it and my boyfriend didn't talk to me for 3 days because he was mad that I cut my hair. (that was the fiance that I broke up with) I came back another time a few months later and got a very obviously gay man who was so sweet and told me that that woman was CRAZY because my hair was lovely and he couldn't wait to get his hands on it. There are just some REALLY bad stylists out there. We have a salon here that we really like and she gave us our haircuts for free last time we donated. They are always so nice and there's only one there that I avoid because she never listens to what we want, but the others are all great!
You seriously had someone who didnt talked you just because you cut your hair? yiiikes...

You don't realize how big cruise ships are until you get up close to them. I never saw a cruise ship except from afar and in pictures. But today instead of the usual 1 ship, there was 2 in port so that means the second ship was .50 miles or so from the bridge. Even from that distance it was huge.
True! And you don't really realize how big they are until you are on one.

I have another... never have popcorn at a drive-in movie at the first movie of the season. That would be after it was closed from September to April. You can decide on your own the reason why.
To ease the thought, it was at least very cold most of that time since the snack bars are not heated.

Just settling in after an afternoon and evening with the family. The kids wanted to take hubby to the board game cafe for his birthday. (It was last Saturday but he's been celebrating all week. Today was the first chance that they had to do something special with their dad.) So, we did that. Then we went grocery shopping for our big Thanksgiving meal, which we will have tomorrow. Came home and had a delicious supper and a Dairy Queen treatza pizza for his birthday. Now they are getting to bed and I've got my feet up finally. What a great day!

Hated clarinet. Could not figure out how to get any sound out of it. I'm too petite for the bass. I have big hands, though, so I suspect I won't have trouble with the viola.

I was always fantastic at sight reading. My piano teacher used to laugh at me because I would sight read through what I didn't want to practice, and she could tell, but it was still good because I sight read well. Still do. Worked out well for being in chorus. And orchestra. When I was in middle school, we had an audition-only orchestra. I was the only person in it who was not taking private lessons, and I was a first violin my second year. Credit it to sight reading. Just learning the new clef will be a challenge.
Youngest is learning the clarinet. He loves it! I just did the piano. I loved playing for my doggies, they would come running when I started to play. They would fall over on their side and go to sleep! Maybe they didn't like the wrong notes I hit!:D

It's not a smart way, because if I'm tired and my feet hurt and I need to sit down, the very last place I am going to be heading is to stand and walk around in a store. I'm headed back to the hotel were I can sit and relax. There is absolutely no incentive to stop and shop. So I don't think it is that unless they are more dense then I imagine. I think the other reasons are quite feasible. People really are impossible.
absolutely.. and imagine if they had vendors roaming around like they did before (as in popcorn)
with the benches.. they would be ordering icecream and snacks left and right.
now I hardly see people snacking other than the darn giant turkey leys AND icecream.

It was very nice. Dipped it in a bowl of tomato soup with apple slices on the side. The perfect thing for this cold and rainy autumn day.

Thanks! :)
But, actually, I ended up leavin' a little after 3p. I was already way ahead on my design project and have enough vacation days (I just usually like to leave a large cushion of 'em - when I talked to our Office Manager, I had more than I thought) to burn.
All good...! :)
So glad for you @donaldtoo. Thanks for sending us on the most incredible trips. good health to you and yours. :inlove:
