Sympathy like, my little guy told me the night before a school party he needed 48 cupcakes! Boys:banghead:

I love cupcakes, too, but not 48 at once. He even topped the number of cupcakes I've eaten in one sitting! :D (Oh, wait . . . I just reread your statement now--he wanted 48 cupcakes for all his little friends. That's different. But it changes his status; he was my hero there for a moment . . . :p )

So a few years ago, I visited Disney Quest and got a few high scores on the Guitar Hero machine. I went back today, visited the same machine, and my scores are still there, on numbers 4 and 8. Hmm...perhaps I should pull a George Costanza when DQ closes? Haha.

That's actually quite impressive that your scores are still among the highest, even years later. Then again, I'm not really surprised, because you are very intelligent. I could see you being a whiz on a number of the gaming options at DQ. Isn't DQ going to close down soon, or have I got my rumors mixed up with something else? (Wouldn't be the first time! :joyfull: )

xoxoxo You guys are too sweet! I'm hoping @betty rose will adopt me!

We all want to be adopted by @betty rose !

Oh, and while we're on the subject of adult children, I'd also want to be able to stop by @ajrwdwgirl 's house for dinner a few nights a week (I wouldn't want to impose any more than that; plus it would give betty rose a break, from cooking dinner for me every night). I've been noticing over the past few months, how ajrwdwgirl creates some delicious meals in her kitchen. :hungry: :hungry: (I'd offer to do the dishes for her. ;) )

I love all your pictures, especially the shark destination ones! :p Regarding the store that you like, your pictures sent me down memory lane. They reminded me of various beach-type stores up and down the East Coast, over the years, as well. There's just something so similar about all of them, and they're all very upbeat and fun. Glad to see that basically, little has changed. I hope you bought yourself some fun trinkets and a colorful t-shirt, too!

P.S.: You know you're in a "class" joint when there's a large dolphin hanging from the ceiling! :hilarious: :hilarious:

That's actually my niece. She's been in music programs since kindergarten. My daughter on the hand doesn't play anything. She's in all the academic extras at school. Science is her thing.

If your daughter is good in science, she will go far in life. Math and science were always my worst subjects in school. I always envied the kids that had the aptitude for those subjects. Some of the most important professions (and highest paid) require people with talent in those areas. :)

So freak'n awesome! My only question is why the heck are you up that early on vacation. You need sleep!

In response to your comment to @donaldtoo , he was smart to be up early, because he wanted to greet the morning in such a beautiful setting. I'd do the same thing in a gorgeous setting like that. (Oh wait . . . I do that all the time anyway! :joyfull: ) Jack also likes early mornings and follows me around while I make coffee, and then come up here to the computer. But his morning enthusiasm is short-lived; he always goes back to sleep on the floor next to me (usually laying on my left foot!!) :D

No band camp for me, I got stuck with the violin. Talk about stereotyping!:cautious:

Almost as bad here . . . I had piano lessons. No fun camp for me! (My instructor was no fun either; she was all business and I couldn't wait for the lessons to be over. I rarely practiced at home, either. All I wanted to do was go outside and play with my little pals . . . But, my mother wanted me to be "cultured" . . . EPIC FAIL!!) :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:

@ajrwdwgirl , you had asked me recently about what new dog food we would finally end up using for our dog. I purposely waited a few weeks, just to make sure that our new system was working out well.

Hence, we found that if we mix about 1/2 of the Pedigree (which he had almost stopped eating since Pedigree messed around with the formula in that) along with 1/2 of the "new" high-end brand, Nature's Recipe (small bites, salmon, and grain-free) -- he now gobbles up his food!! We noticed his fur looks really good now too--all shiny.

So we're happy we found a combination that he loves. Also, it's helpful to us financially as well, because the Nature's Recipe is three times the price (N.R. is sold at Petsmart and Petco) of Pedigree, and by our using 1/2 and 1/2 of each, this works out well.)

Note to @catmom46 , Thanks also for the suggestion of Chewy.com for comparison pricing and free shipping. We're fortunate that we have both Petco and Petsmart very close by us, but if we couldn't get there, I would definitely order via Chewy.

It looks like it will be gone by the end of the year:(

DQ really needed to be overhauled, yet, I liked it for something different to do in that area. I don't think I ever spent more than 1-2 hours there on any given trip to WDW. It was something I'd check out after going to Typhoon Lagoon, and then I'd take the bus over to DTD (Disney Springs), eat lunch, and leisurely walk over toward the West Side. (Come to think of it, are they changing/deleting the "West Side" connotation for that area as well now? I can't keep up with the changes; very confusing at times . . .)

Never went there tbh.i seemed a bit strange to travell halfway around the world to visit a video arcade.

What about bowling, then . . . would you travel halfway around the world to play bowling at the fancy bowling place they have now? :D

My guess is that DQ, as well as the bowling place (I can't remember the name of it), and the movie theater complex are all there for rainy days, as an incentive to lure guests into that area--and subsequently relieve them of more of their hard-earned cash--once they also "roam" into the stores!

Well up to 6 ish years ago we didn't have a bowling alley on or island and our "movie" theatre is tiny with 350 seats set over 4 screens so probably more likely to visit one of them lol
