There was someone skywriting, and at the time I didn't realize what the message was for, but later I figured it out. I just thought it was a generic skywriting message.

That was actually me. I had originally written:

" I LOVE how I can literally see everything from up here! I mean, wow, the view is breathtaking! Anyhow, I am writing to PUSH and his family, wherever you all may be down there in the giant sea of dots...seriously, everybody looks like ants from way up here. LOL. Hmm...maybe I shouldn't write "LOL" in skywriting. I mean, talk about a complete waste of fuel & sky space. I'll go back later and delete that part. Anyhow, just wanted to say "Hi" from all your WITWIBS pals, and hope everybody is having a fun, safe trip. We all chipped-in for this skywriting venture, so hope you like it! Oh, and to all you other tourists down there who do not know what WITWIBS stands for, it is: "Where In The World Isn't Bob Saget", and is a sorta hangout thingy on wdwmagic.com. Check it out if you get the chance. Hey look, I can even see Universal from up here. Oops...I had better not write that too close to Disney airspace. Too late now I guess. Well that's all we had to say, just hope you all are having fun down there at the parks. Oh yeah, and surprise! That's right. This sky message is a surprise that we all chipped-in for. I swear if Lucky doesn't give me that check for his portion by the end of the week, there's gonna be hell to pay... hey, does anyone down there know what "Check Engine" light means on this aircraft accompanied by a stalling sound?"

But complications in flight caused only the "LOV.." of the first sentence to appear correctly. :banghead:
Needless to say, that was not money well-spent.

Before Andrew starts posting pics, I thought I'd quickly mention that Son #2 handed in his 2-week notice at work today.

This will give him 1 week off work after we get back from WDW before he returns to school. He needs a minimum of 3 semesters to complete his required credits to graduate. Depending on his marks, he can either work for a semester, or go back to improve his grades, before heading off to post-secondary.

So, yay!

On the downside, it clearly means he's not moving out/away for 2 years! Son #1 is also going back in September, so he's not going anywhere anytime soon either.

Maybe I can convince Adopted Son to move out.

You know what's funny?
Day 1: Check-in and Downtown Disney.

No too many pictures for day 1 because we arrived in the evening after a 6 hour drive from Monterey, CA. We checked into the Hilton Anaheim just before dinner where we found our room had been upgraded to a 600 sq ft King Studio with a perfect view of DL right down Main Street. After check-in, we met a friend and DTD and enjoyed dinner at the Earl of Sandwich. We hadn't eaten there in quite some time so we decided to go for it.

After dinner, we spent time time wandering before heading back to our room to try to put the kid asleep and watch a bit of the fireworks before bed...

Day 2: Disneyland.

This day was DL all day...well except in the morning where we stopped by the DL Hotel for a character breakfast with Goofy & Friends. We thought it would be a get way to get the kid used to the characters. She did alright with Goofy but absolutely fell in love with Minnie. After breakfast we headed over to DL to start our first park day.

Had to get a pic in front of this of course for my first trip there...

Castle shot of course...

Some pics in Fantasyland. First ride was Peter Pan. The kid did HORRIBLE in line waiting 60 minutes. Thankfully she got better waiting as the trip went on FYI, the park was just crazy crowded. People and CM's were saying this was one of their busier days and DW said she had never been when it was this busy.
