I'm sorry to hear that. One of my BFs had an alcoholic dad and demonstrated those traits as well. I was with him for over 3 years when I should have broken up with him after the 1st year. My husband's father also was an alcoholic and while I see those traits in him at least he's never been abusive. However, I think they manifested in other ways.

That's funny. I was just talking about looking forward to all the pumpkin stuff coming out soon. Fall is my favorite season, too. Which makes no sense, because I know my least favorite season is hot on its heels.

I've been at WDW and the Dominican Republic during the Christmas season and have missed the snow. Then I've come home to NE Ohio and I don't miss it at all.

I would have to side with the guys one this one. While I enjoy "different" food on occasion, I could only take so much of AK fare on our trip. I love my seafood "ordinary" please!

I hear that! I love trying lots of different dishes at WDW but we always go to 50s PT for their "comfort food"...and a Dad's Brownie Sundae.

I sympathize. Love gives you blinders sometimes. It takes awhile for one to see reality.

This is so true to the nth degree!! I also believe people do change over time and given certain circumstances, do not change for the better.

I love the Fried Chicken, it really tastes just like my late Mom's. Yummy and crispy!

Some of their menu items are mediocre at best, the Kobe Burger is so freak'n good. Even the bun is amazing. It is like anywhere you order the things they do best, Kobe Burger is their best thing IMO.

any other recommendations?

What are the modern life Mechanical God's thinking?

The hows and whys of an Ejector Pit and Central A/C Unit having 'issues' on the same day. Not funny. Not funny at all. I should rest peacefully tonight as the A/C is on and the Pit is operating but seriously? Enough.

I know the feeling lol

My mother's jeep is failing again and so does my car.
I think I'm going to need to replace the electrical parts of both the sensors area and the front panel.
Doesn't help that we just had a minor tube rupture in one of the toilets (clean water) in the house, and was flowing like a river!.

There are days when things do not go your way.. frustrating!

No apology needed. I was just chiming in that since it was briefly turning into a "Let's all go drinking" thread (which isn't why The Mom created it) I didn't want to be lumped in that category. I guess I could have stopped reading this thread (like some other members have) until the subject changed but I find it as webhome for now.

Oh Dear! I know our military peeps have had issues with the climate there. Bless their hearts. And the camel spiders, well they are a dulling challenge.\

@Cesar R M Have you seen Nickelodeon's reboot of Alvin & the Chipmunks? So disappointing and the chipmunks look almost like real boys with tails.
