Ugh, I couldn't live in a HOA - I'd end up going postal or something. Too many regulations!!!
It has it's good sides. It does prevent you having a neighbor that paints their house pink with purple stripes and big yellow pokkadots. Course that also stops you from doing that. Depending what part of the country you live it might or might not allow you to have old washing machines on your front lawn.

Was in another branch
That doesn't matter... it's whatever branch of the service they are or were in. Any official government branch.

I wouldn't mind living next to this house, especially if Russell & Dug are frequent visitors:

I forgot to add lettuce to the mix, and sometimes bell peppers yellow or red. The green are to strong for me. I live on salad sandwiches, oh, I've been known to add hummus, or beans, or smoked turkey. I usually just see what I have, and go from there. A little smear of mayo, or my pizza sandwich, I use pizza sauce, with the peppers and onions, vegan cheese. That's probably more than you wanted to know!:D

Nope, not more than I wanted to know, because I think your explanation was very helpful. You gave me a few ideas I had not previously thought of. Thank you.

If you are talking about the DTD Hilton, don't do it!

How come? Did you have a bad experience there? I'd love to hear your impressions.

I haven't stayed a the Hilton DTD for probably over 10 years at this point (I forget exactly the last time I stayed there), but anyway, I thought it was a really nice hotel. It was in a good location if you enjoy spending some evenings at DTD (Disney Springs), going to Cirque du Soleil, etc. (And they had some additional perks I liked such as they served Starbucks coffee, even back then. They also had so many more TV channels on their system than the Disney hotels did, at that time as well.) The rates were reasonable, too. (I tend to stay at the Swan or Dolphin now for the great location and somewhat reasonable rates.)

EDIT: I just read your response to another member about this. Sorry you had some issues. I was lucky, I never had any. I'd only take the bus from the hotel to the parks in the morning, and in the evening, I'd either take a bus to DTD and walk over from there to the Hilton, or I'd just grab a cab. With the money I was saving by not staying in a more expensive on-site hotel, grabbing cabs didn't even put a dent in the money I had left over.

That's my new favorite, I love all the colors, like getting a new box of 64 crayons! Thank you sooo much, MOXOMUMD. xoxo

Oh goodness, true confessions here . . . I have debated whether to go out this weekend, and buy myself a box of 64 Crayola crayons!! :hilarious: I mean . . . I can't really draw anything well; everything I attempt to sketch looks kinda deformed, but I am interested in all the pretty crayon colors.

I haven't had crayons since I was a kid, so I'm way out of practice. Since I'm a lousey artist, maybe I could just draw straight lines in all the pretty colors? I could classify that as "Modern Art", n'est pas? ;)

Oh, does this mean I'm entering my second childhood? o_O Nahhhhh . . . don't think I ever left my first one! :p

I live in Albuquerque so I grew up with hot air balloons. When I was little, before the time of lawsuits, balloons would land at our school playground and tether. We all would take turns going up. We also were allowed to go in the balloons as they were being inflated at the Balloon Fiesta.

Wow! What a great story and such a nice experience for the school children. I would have loved to go up in one of those beautiful balloons.

Only once did I see a balloon festival (years ago) out in western MA. They would lift off very early in the morning and they were just breathtaking to watch--so graceful, just gliding on the gentle breeze. :inlove:
