In The News: I had a good/bad day today. First the Bad... Today I was informed that I have prostate cancer. Then the good... it's not at a point where they think I need to do anything about it and that it might develop or it might just stay at the semi-dormant stage for a long time. We are going into monitor mode. So although it's not good news, it's not the worst I could get either. Just not a great thing to tell anyone on the day after their birthday.
Happy belated birthday. That news really stinks but hopefully it stay dormantish for many, many years. I wish you a long happy and healthy life.

Caution to my friends in the northest, summer is finally here! YEA! YEA and be careful and stay hydrated. All kidding aside I love this weather but I exercise and cook early not to mention the amount of just plain old water I consume. I'm going to drink some water before heading out for my morning walk and more when I get home! Be safe xoxo

First of all, sorry to hear about the unexpected diagnosis, although it was better news for you to hear that it may just stay semi-dormant. As a general comment only, I have heard down through the years that the older you get, the slower a cancer will grow. This is because an older metabolism is slower, than a younger person's. Quite often, an older person essentially "out lives" the diagnosed cancer; and years down the road, will probably pass on from some other malady, instead.

Happy belated birthday, by the way! I think it was cool  that someone gave you a ticket to Disneyland Paris. Somebody in your family circle knows you quite well!!! What a perfect gift! You had mentioned before that you had a trip planned to Europe this fall, and I figured you'd probably check out the park on perhaps one day of your trip. Enjoy!!!

 Most things seem good at the time:hilarious::banghead:
Did I mention that I fell out of the chair I was attempting to sit in? I fell in slow motion while maintaining eye contact with the nurse sitting at the main desk. It was such a ridiculous scene that we couldn't stop laughing. What topped it off was a housekeeper was behind me when it happened and he was confused at what was going on so the nurse motioned that I had been drinking which is exactly what it looked like. BTW I wasn't drinking.
