If there is another thunderstorm in the middle of the night that wakes my almost 2 year old baby boy and scares him I think I am going to lose my mind.
Would something like a white noise machine help?

That might help. These past few nights the thunder and lightening was so bad it even woke me and my husband up who is a heavy sleeper.Would something like a white noise machine help?

Kudos to the mayor of Boston today, who refused to sign a document that would have backed his approval for the 2024 Olympics to come to the city! He said that not one dollar of taxpayer dollars would go into any overruns or miscalculations by the group(s) in charge. Basically, he listened to the state's residents--40% or less wanted the Olympics here. (The Olympic Committee won't even consider a venue that has less than 68% of the residents in approval.)
But for me and all my colleagues at work, it wasn't even so much the money, but the commuting nightmare that a major international event like this, would bring to an already over-crowded city, highways, etc. Rush hours around here are a nightmare to begin with.
I'll never forget the roadblocks, etc. when Boston hosted the 2004 Democratic National Convention. That made a commuting mess of the city, and you figure that's not even close to the size and scope of hosting the Olympics.
Oh happy day!!! No Olympics in Boston!!
Must be something wrong with me--I rather like lumpy potatoes!!![]()
Sometimes, I can't explain it, but I actually get a craving to go to McDonald's!!(Happens maybe twice a year!)
McDonald's is actually a tradition for hubby and I when we return from a trip. Especially if the trip has been out of the country, we are usually craving an American style hamburger and McDonald's fries.
I agree, I'm to frugal to make expenditures like that. I could being a Prime member have Amazon deliver me the next day for a small shipping charge replacement sunglasses to the resort for a fraction of what any would cost me at Disney. I have 2 pairs of good sunglasses, they are RayBan, not cheap. I don't take them to Disney. $20 Target ones. I don't want to be upset at Disney when I loose them, drop or squish them. I remember reading a trip report a while back about someone who stepped on their sunglasses in pool that were worth hundreds of dollars. I also don't travel with expensive jewelry either, same reason.
A lot of great cartoons are represented on that board!!!
Finally got a new phone! So hopefully I can check in more regularly.
"Dat's some high quality H20!"![]()

Well, you could also buy a Grey alien mask.Unfortunately, we always go in the winter and I'm afraid that the glare from my pale legs will cause chaos in the Parks... Brings a new meaning to Blinded By The Light!
I keep trying to find a subliminal message spelled out in the tree limbs.
definitively misunderstood. Here I was thinking both were students in some way. (University, High school.. dunno).I think you've misunderstood - both of these gals are teachers. They are definitely in the workforce full force.![]()
Well, I dont know about that.. but the only thing I order from McDonalds is their McNuggets.Cool, there is a God. I haven't stepped foot in a McDonalds in over 20 years now. It amazes me how they're so popular when their food is so c.r.a.p.p.y.
I actually wonder if the worries are also security related. Can I say just how ECSTATIC I am??!!!![]()

I know, but the only ones I've seen over here.. are restaurant sized processors.. and they still require squeezing via a palette. (I trained and worked as cook and have a Diploma in french food from Le Cordon Bleu)There is. It's called a food processor.![]()
Well, Rayband became a "brand" like Apple.. didnt it?I used to buy the original Rayban Wayfarers back in the day for $40.
Last time I checked they were $140...$180 for the polarized version.
The cheapies have been doin' me just fine for years now, but, I'd sure like another pair of those Wayfarers again, someday...!![]()
