Cheer up, it might just be a name change, price increase, Disney is famous for that.

If I am not mistaken the mart been gone for years already???? I use to love it too but I don't remember it from my last several trips. They almost have a knock of the Mart (if it is still there) in the Co-Op building called MarketPlace Fun Finds. Instead of $10 or less it was higher maybe $20-$25 or less. I found some worthy things at both but got taken a few times too. I bought some glassware that the paint melted off in the dishwasher. I found these two places to be a last chance before we ship this stuff off to the Cast Member store off sight kinda place. Not necessarily bad stuff by any means but certainly buyer beware.
question... what is the difference between this "mart" you guys are talking about, and World of Disney?

How fun. My Mom is and was a ******. She threw just about everything out. She lacks sentiment. I guess because of that I saved more than I should have of my kids childhood. I have stuff........

Sympathy like.

It was kind of an odd coincidence, 'cause I recently showed our kiddos how much of everything of theirs I've saved from over all these years.
They've always known I was a very attentive dad, but, they just didn't know I'd saved so much from their childhood.
Yep, some of us dads can be hard as as stone, but we're still human...most of the time. ;)

Nope, absolutely fine. I just DO NOT like Illuminations. No apologies. Just as some have said previously they don't like PPF where I do. Different strokes.

I think what I like about Illuminations is the overall setting of the show, a nice ambiance in the world showcase. Love hanging back as everyone exits rapidly and taking in the WS at night. Im just OK with Fantasmic and really hate how long I have to be there in advance even with some type of reserved seating and sardine feel followed by how that venue loads and empties. I like Wishes however I'm too claustrophobic to be wedge in there with all those vertical bodies. If I watch Wishes it is either from Storybook or my favorite spot the ferry dock area outside the MK gates.

Ha! My Dad really thought he was dying and he was going to do what he pleased. He lives on. 20 years later still kick'n. And I'm true to my word, no more Disney for him. Consequences. That same year 2 months prior to our Christmas at Disney he was in Disneyland Paris Hotel when it burnt to the ground while he was there.
Its always interesting when people defy all expectations of survival.
My father too, was diagnosed to have 6 months to 1 year to live. Because he had some heart failure (a hole In one of the chambers if I remember correctly). Had surgery.. still was diagnosed "2 years at most".
He lived up to the 60's and cancer got him.
Which is kinda strange.. as I'm the one who beat cancer when young.
And I'm pretty sure the most sure thing that will kill me.. will be either a stroke or a heart attack (my veins in certain parts are tiny, çause of chemo and radiation)

so... it will be ironic if we end dying of opposite of what medics told us what was going to kill us.

Sometimes, when I am trying to figure out dinner, I try to figure out what I might order if I went out. I can at least get an idea, like Italian, chicken, steak...just a starting point. Not even an inkling yet, and the kids are going to be asking what's for dinner really soon. Ugh.

I'm a better winter meal planner and cook. The only upside to being the only cook in the family is I get to pick what I am in the mood for. Summer is a bit harder to be as creative and savory, not much into heating up the house when it is hot. I have an inline grill that I use year round and lately it has been simplier BBQ favorites of summer. Makes clean up easy though.

Oh probably. She hasn't been on tere much so far, though. Although my aunt and cousin both PM'ed me freaking out. Aunt said, "Is nothing sacred anymore!" (I told her no more complaining about her mother on Facebook...let's hope Grandma NEVER goes through her old posts), cousin was worried that it wasn't actually Grandma and was our nieces' crazy mother (since crazy mom is in rehab right now and Grandma mentioned to me on more than one ocassion, most recently last week, that she wanted Facebook, yes, it is actually her). Cousin-in-law is not sure whether to be relieved or insulted that she didn't get a request.
