I dont like to put loose stuff in my pockets.. if I go into a coaster.. they might end up flying.
call me paranoic, but I've lost stuff from pockets alone many times.
a wallet doesnt fall that easily (plus as foreign, you have to have with you either your VISA and/or passport at all times). Visas are too important to leave them loose in a pocket. I carry them fiercely protected in a kangaroo bag or in my wallet :p

When you say kangaroo bag, is that like a messenger bag or a f a n n y pack worn in the front? Either way, this image comes to mind:

The George Town Train was fun, but I have nothing to compare it to. The royal Gorge goes through the Royal Gorge Canyon, next to the Arkansas river. The Durango To Silverton, goes around the mountains and through, and up the mountains, completely different scenery. George Town, lasted an hour. Royal Gorge 2 hours. The Durango To Silverton, is 7 hours, with a two hour layover in Silverton. I want to do them all, as our State is very different in each area. :)

I highly recommend the Durango and Silverton. Scenery was awesome, and the layover in Silverton was really fun. (Yup, we ended up buying silver . . . jewelry. And, hubby bought a beautiful knife that had turquoise handles . It was Native made, as was the silver jewelry. ) I hope you can wait until it gets a little cooler though, before you go on this train excursion.

We were in the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon on Christmas Day and Santa came ashore in a speedboat.

Ha! Love it!! :D

Reminds me also a little about the Christmas festival weekend in December, in Rockport, MA. Santa Claus comes riding in a fishing boat into the harbor at Bearskin Neck (area of shops, restaurants, etc.). He gets huge applause from the crowds as the boat pulls into the harbor--the loudest applause comes from the adults! :hilarious:

The bands clip quite nicely through the belt loop of your capris or shorts. It's just a minor pain to undo them to actually use them the half dozen or so times you need to "touch Mickey heads".

That's an excellent tip to hang them off a belt loop; thank you. I'll stick with my little plastic card for as long as I can, but if they eliminate those down the road, at least I'll know how to deal with the bands.

I dislike Daylight savings, too. It's so depressing after a summer of leaving work while it's still daylight and then having to see it's dark outside while still in the office! :(

I hate Daylight Savings. I wish they'd just leave the time alone at the regular, Standard Time. (I don't mind the darkness in early evenings.) What I can't stand is the lunacy surrounding changing the hour of the day either forward or backwards, twice a year, and messing up everyone's sleeping patterns. It is a fact that the most automobile accidents happen at the start of the time changeovers ever year. Ugh.

I think my stomach has its own built-in watch. Need to get it adjusted though. It will tell me it's time for lunch and I eat lunch; and 15 minutes later, it will tell me it's time for lunch again! :joyfull:
See, if you had a watch, that wouldn't happen! You could just look at the watch and say... shut up stomach :in pain: you know not of what you speak. :joyfull:

So, Gilligan's Island was on TV a little while ago. Now I know why The Professor was so smart (but could never get the castaways off the island, but that's another story . .. ). Anyway == The Professor had his BA from USC; his BS from UCLA, his MA from SMU, and his PhD from TCU -- at the age of fifteen!! :hilarious: :hilarious:

I love that show! :joyfull:

Sounds absolutely heavenly . . . Fiji is one place that always intrigued me. Fiji and Bali Hai -- very exotic. :)

Fiji was heavenly! We decided to go with Fiji instead of Tahiti, mainly because Fiji had more all-inclusive resorts and was cheaper overall. Although the resort we stayed at definitely was not cheap! Only 30 or so guests could stay there at a time, so very personal, private, and exclusive. But worth every penny! :cat:
