So sorry for too much water. It's hard to grow things any more. I found snails....on my onion sets!

Sympathy like. It is all being overgrown by weeds. I can't even step into the garden because it is all that mud that won't let you go!

Funny, Star Wars Girl.... I will drink out of anything as long as it contains my favorite drinks, sodas, or margarita's or water. I have a small margarita most days, as it keeps the good cholesterol up . I have very bad cholesterol, and I have meat once in a while...eggs, are whites, and use olive oil....only once in a while real butter. As Doctor says, it's in the genes....No matter how hard you try, the numbers just doesn't always work out.

Pretty sure that a lot of latinos offer the same in the USA.

New in the news.... Recent studies have determined that 66% of all woman are overweight. Just a thought but since a major majority are heavier then the small minority, wouldn't that mean that the standard of weight would be in the majority camp. In other words it is normal to be bigger and the small ones are just plain freaky?

Our local farmers market here, 5 min. from the house, is open year-round.

There's going to be some competition for the tenants position! I know how to run my dh's smoker and I'll bring it with me

I'm so envious. Winter vegetables in Denver. Too old to eat by the time they get to the market. It's cabbage , hothouse tomatoes, and frozen in winter. (no pun intended!)

Sympathy like!!!!!!!!! At least my local grocery store gets some decent stuff year round, not farm market good but not horrid.

I grew up a few miles from Ohare and we were across the street from a 3 track
Rail Crossing. I grew up with lots of noise.

CSX has a double line running the length of my back property. When I first moved here (in '89) it took a month to get used to the sound. Now I only notice if something sounds wrong.

One of my fellow CMs at The Disney Store had 3 huge binders with over 6,000 pins total. She's been collection them pretty much from day 1. My collection, on the other hand, doesn't come even remotely close to that.

Can I just say the Coneheads commercials were funny at first, now I find them annoying.

when they overdo things that were once funny.. of course it gets tedious.

I've seen some in Houston. Not sure if they are common elsewhere.
But these mini restaurants offer like.. 5-6 dishes, soups and drinks.. (1 drink, 1 entree, 2 components for like.. 6 USD or less)

Funny story, when George W. was stumping to become President he did a train tour through Ohio. He made a stop in my town but I knew I couldn't get to it on time due to work. Luck had it the train was running behind and I got home a few minutes before the it passed my house. Me and my family hoofed it to the edge of the tracks to wave as it passed by.

Surprisingly the train was moving rather slow but we kept waving. The end was coming and we didn't see anybody until....standing outside at the very back of the caboose was George and Laura Bush and Dick and Lynne Cheney. We were in shock! They waved back and George W. said "Hello, how are you?" I just kept waving like a dork and said "How are you?" He said "Good." then they were gone. That was awesome. I still am amazed the four were back by themselves but I'm sure they were surprised to see the three of us waving from a field. Nowadays security probably would have arrested us for being so close to the tracks.
