Same here. Some cities have sirens, but we don't. Large tornados just don't happen here...no need for a siren. Like you, we listen to our weather channel, if we have threatening weather. Our biggest threat is hail. We had really big hail stones, while we were in Disney a few years ago. We had to get a new roof. I was doubly glad, we were in Disney, and didn't experience the storm. We've also had a tornado watch in MA since early this morning, but they lifted the tornado watch a few hours ago. Basically we only had a tiny bit of rain, and just a bunch of clouds and occasional sun today. They blew it forecasting the weather this morning and even through the afternoon, but glad the weather system just fizzled out.
For our pals out there in the Midwest, you're used to having those sirens, but we don't have anything like that at all out here. Tornado activity is so rare in these parts; we all just stay tuned to the weather reports and most of the time we'd get bad thunder storms and some wind, but generally, not much more than that.
I love his creativity!![]()
That's Jack!! Any window that he's tall enough to see out of, has his nose art all over it!! Drives me nuts; I can't tell you the number of times I've washed off his dog slobber from the windows!!

Now, I'm really ready for the 4th.
that looks delicious!
first time I hear of "baby shower" along with "bbq".
I'm a piggy, I'll take all of these. Thanks....time for a bedtime snack. Good night to all. It's after 10p.m. way past my bedtime!
YEA! It's working! I hope it remains that way for a long time to come! My dh has to replace the belt on his car when he gets a day off. It's not bad but it is getting close to the suggested time to do so.
Actually, both look good to me.
Well my neighbors are home beyond rattled. They were in camper didn't get a siren until 2 minutes before tornado. The place is 2000 acres. 11 of 12 trees fell. Some on camper and both cars. One can come home other totaled as well as their camper.
Nobody physically hurt.
You are very fortunate. I would LOVE to be able to do something like that, but with such a saturated restaurant market out here, it's soooo difficult to find a local restaurant to patronize (but in a good way).
OMG . . . TWO MINUTES was their only warning??!!! I don't live in a tornado area but I had thought those sirens were supposed to be very very loud, and carry quite a distance. Also, it floors me that the sirens went off with only 2 minutes to spare . . . did this storm just sneak up without any sort of warning??
pass for me, never liked these slimmy guys.
Actually, both look good to me.
Minus the tomatoes, of course.
Hey, I just noticed my status changed to Well-Known Member! Now I'm like the rest of you - woohoo!
