We've also had a tornado watch in MA since early this morning, but they lifted the tornado watch a few hours ago. Basically we only had a tiny bit of rain, and just a bunch of clouds and occasional sun today. They blew it forecasting the weather this morning and even through the afternoon, but glad the weather system just fizzled out.

For our pals out there in the Midwest, you're used to having those sirens, but we don't have anything like that at all out here. Tornado activity is so rare in these parts; we all just stay tuned to the weather reports and most of the time we'd get bad thunder storms and some wind, but generally, not much more than that.
Same here. Some cities have sirens, but we don't. Large tornados just don't happen here...no need for a siren. Like you, we listen to our weather channel, if we have threatening weather. Our biggest threat is hail. We had really big hail stones, while we were in Disney a few years ago. We had to get a new roof. I was doubly glad, we were in Disney, and didn't experience the storm.

YEA! It's working! I hope it remains that way for a long time to come! My dh has to replace the belt on his car when he gets a day off. It's not bad but it is getting close to the suggested time to do so.

Yep, I do whatever of our vehicle maintenance I still can, or have time for.
I still do all our vehicles brakes. Can't remember the last time I ever even paid for brake pads 'cause of AutoZones lifetime warranty. :)
I've helped rebuild a coupla' engines, replaced water pumps, fuel pumps, starters, etc., etc..
Don't do much a' that kinda' stuff anymore, though. ;)

OMG . . . TWO MINUTES was their only warning??!!! I don't live in a tornado area but I had thought those sirens were supposed to be very very loud, and carry quite a distance. Also, it floors me that the sirens went off with only 2 minutes to spare . . . did this storm just sneak up without any sort of warning??

There are real mixed reports. The place is massive. It seems some areas they went off and other areas it did not. The area where it did go off didn't get hit. The young adult kids are running on adrenaline, the parents look like freak'n zombies. So lucky to have lived through it with the tree falling on the camper. This storm didnt sneak up on us, anyone in communication knew bad storms were coming, I was tracking it for hours. But these are rural campgrounds in a gated area. No wifi etc. Basically the people who go there go to get away from the real world.
