Hope you have an awesome trip!!!! Europe is on our to do list as well but probably won't be for another 5 years or so. DH has been in Europe before when he was in the Army but I have never been out of the country ever yet. So excited for you both!!! Can't wait to see pictures and hear about it when you get back! :inlove:
Mine too. I'm having a lot of "medical" testing done right now over what I hope to be a minor issue, but, I have already purchased my plane tickets for Paris in mid October. Paris, Rome, Venice, Barcelona and a trans Atlantic cruise back to Fort Lauderdale. I have been to some of the places on my itinerary, but, that was in 1967. I'm sure a few things have changed since then. For one thing, I won't be spending near as much time in foreign bars.:)

Well, tomorrow is the big day. We have an early morning flight; should get to Honolulu at around 2 pm local time (8 pm eastern time). We're staying at the Hilton for a few days and moving to Aulani afterward. Not sure how good the Wifi is at the Hilton (three years ago it was absolute carp; hopefully it has improved), but I know it's decent at Aulani. So if you don't hear from me other than "Yes, we safely landed" for a few days, that's why.

Interestingly enough, all of us qualify for TSA Pre Check.o_O Don't know how that happened; but we'll take it.

A little nervous, new airline, unfamiliar airport (Salt Lake City), but it's part of the adventure!:D
also forgot to say, have a great trip!

I've got a question. We're considering staying on property for the Universal portion of our trip is it worth it (couple of extra dollars a night but with more cramped quarters but more to do) to get in an hour early? My boys love Potter! THNX
Pretty sure the big bonus.. is having the unlimited passes if you stay at one of the deluxes.
and all hotels offer early hours (akin to extra magical hours)

I know this wasn't directed to me, my opinion is it's great. You don't have to take off shoes, take anything out of bags, just put bag on conveyor belt. Walk through, the old machines...no hands up routine, and you are on your way. We got it once, and then applied, and bought in...at our age it was 85.00$ per person for 5 years. So worth the shorter lines and no hassle . That's been our experience, hope this helps.
Well I really want to apply, I'm sick of being asked to get in the deep sensors.. these can fry my cochlear implant..
I have to tell them again and again to I have an implant (I never had these problems in Houston Airport)
And I'm never amused to have a 2 meter tall guy touching my privates.. (particularly annoying last February at MCO.. the guy touched me way too much, and its not like you can complain.. I've heard of detention and being placed in the no fly list for complaining. Also worsened by the fact that they could NOT find an officer trained for a patdown. I had to wait there shoeless and with my stuff moving in the conveyor belt for almost 20 minutes).
The officer in question was also ed because he was asking for an officer again and again via radio. And there were like 4 officers doing NOTHING at the end of the conveyor belt line (after the security point).

I just wish they had private areas for the patdowns, not infront of everyone.

Sympathy like. I hope all goes well, I hate those types of tests.
