So this happened today. Yikes! With everything broken those performers went on with the show 100% deflated balloon and all. True professionals!

I heard the music was off, the balloon was flat, and the synch was out of order cause the music was out of order so many didn't know their queues. Hot mess indeed.

I was there today and I followed the parade from start to finish. The music was out of sync from the beginning. Everything else happened mid parade. Mickey's balloon started to deflate about halfway down frontierland.

I can only imagine the angst and disappointment on the faces of all the children as this 'hot mess' paraded by. Where's Sponge Bob and Shrek when you need them!

I think most small kids wouldn't have noticed of they weren't dancing or even dancing on queue - maybe older kids would feel it was a bit out of sync. The kids crying would be the ones not able to see Minnie/Mickey due to the deflated balloon.

The ones most upset were probably the parents.

If we were there, my husband and I would have been laughing and saying, "Go home FoF parade, you're drunk."

I really hope no one was fired over it and they get it fixed for tomorrow's show.

I think you'll find that just about universally true in most cases at WDW.

I've seen so many situations where the kid was perfectly fine with something (a character having to move on, and only has time to wave, etc.) and the kid is just fine until mommy or daddy starts pitching a screaming fit and the kid bursts into tears because anger-manegement-deprived mommy or daddy is freaking the heck out.

One instance was so bad I swear to Mickey this guy jumped up and down three times, and then ran around in a circle turning beet red screaming at a CM because the character had to get up on stage to perform a show (the music had already started). The little kid was fine, until she became a crying mess at seeing her father flip out on the CM screaming about ruining his daughters entire trip.

I'm not one to jump in the middle of a fight that I have nothing to do with, but I stood up and started to get between him and the CM (and older woman) just as his extremely embarrassed wife managed to drag him away. He then started cussing his wife out as they headed into Fantasyland.

I got a glimpse of what their home life must have been like, and it wasn't pretty.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
That's rough. It seems like three unrelated things that just happened to occur on the same day. I'm sure they'll get them ironed out quickly.
