Preview of Disney-Pixar Inside Out coming to Epcot's Magic Eye Theater

I would hope they would develop a replacement for Captain EO. What that would be I don't know. Hopefully something themed appropriately to EPCOT and that pavilion. I forget what the theater was in HWS that had the Guardians of the Galaxy preview. It was relatively run down and could use some work but that feels like a better park selection to host movie previews.

It seems the rumor of a permanent Inside Out attraction moving in to the theatre is likely. Looks like a perfect segue way. As long as it doesn't touch the dark ride.

Actually I wouldn't mind if they did a lot of touching of that dark ride, lol! Assuming they improve it, of course.

Inside Out does seem like it would be fitting for a Disney 3D feature, though they probably wouldn't even begin something like that until the film/IP proved to be a success.

I would guess that there will be previews in that theater throughout the summer.

Expected as much.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that they're missing the boat on using these spaces for effectively marketing these films? It just seems like they're putting minimal effort into these by only showing the extended trailer or first 10 minutes. Why not also do a social media promotional, or giveaways of t-shirts, hats, mugs, pins, etc. Join up with Fandango or even their own Disney Movie Rewards and give out codes for discounted or free even, pre-purchase tickets?

Like everyone else, I want to see these spaces utilized for an actual attraction, but I don't mind these occasional in-park promotions, after all, it's their business, it's what they do. Just make them beneficial for the guests. Give them a reason to be excited about the new movie. Because, chances are, most will leave the theater and not think anything about it until it comes out in theaters.

Not sure how accurate this is, but the app says that Eo will be back July 18th. It says it's on a temporary hiatus and will be back July 18th.

Movie previews are NOT attractions.

According to TDO, an attraction is anything you an sucker a person into getting a FP+ or getting into a line for, which is why WDW has so many of the meet-and-greets behind walls...

So, technically the lines to get to the MM+ kiosks could be attractions as well... I wonder what would happen if they could add FP+ to the kiosk to get a FP? Would the universe implode and all laws of physics break down if that happened?

I don't know... but, it's scary times we live in. Anything is possible, no matter how improbable:http://www.cnet.com/news/nasa-tests-physics-defying-method-of-space-travel-em-drive/

Yes, let me rephrase that! Please touch the dark ride, but don't put Inside Out in. Maybe this will be the reason to restore Journey Into Imagination.
