That would be me as well...one thing at a time. Not touching. Ever.

I have extended relatives who are the same way. My great aunt will not eat soup because ingredients are mixed. She too eats one thing at a time. My great grandfather ate things counterclockwise around his plate.

Oh Boy this is my DH too. He starts with the non-touching items that he likes least and saves his favorites for last:confused:

With me, it's meat, potatoes/starch, then veggies last.

My parents find it extremely weird. My mom will ask me if I want something on my plate, and I tell her not until I've finished what I'm eating. She rolls her eyes every time, like she knows she should have known the answer to the question.

Here's the kicker - three years ago when our dollar was worth more than the U.S. dollar, prices up here were still bloated; ergo Canadians were flockng over the border in droves!

Retailers have three main excuses for higher prices:
Economy of scale - our population is 1/10 of yours, and spread out over a vaster area. Our stores have reduced negotiating power and a much larger distribution area.
Climate - most of our fruits and veggies must be imported. We have a significantly shorter growing season, and let's be honest, there is no way we can produce oranges, pineapples, cotton, sugar cane ....
Taxes - as I've said before - Universal healthcare may be free, but it ain't cheap.

Other factors - higher tariffs, mandatory bilingual packaging, and of course, the fluctuating dollar.

There are pros and cons to everything and for one that has health insurance 100% family coverage free from employer, I like the idea of Universal Health coverage even though it doesn't impact me. In a nation like ours it irks me that people cannot receive decent health care or meds and suffer or die because of lack of health insurance. While the obama care is a step in the right direction it doesn't still reach the unfortunate. I wrestle with that in a nation like ours, shouldn't be the case.

Not sure about down there, but up here, you negotiate your final price first ... and then mention that you're paying cash. Many dealerships count on making extra money if you use their in-house financing and will give you a sharper deal.
Customers who pay cash cost the dealership money. ;)

And, that is exactly why I ordered my post the way I did...
Just give me the best deal ya' can, and we'll talk about the payments later. Oh, BTW, I've decided I'm goin' to pay cash. ;) :)
And yes, only if you use their in-house financing, which I've never done. :)

Josh Gad is in final negotiations to play LeFou in the live action Beauty and the Beast. Perfect casting choice IMO.

Also, no I did not watch Beauty and the Beast today. My mom and I spent the day watching chick flicks on Netflix. Ever After, Hitch, and 13 Going on 30.

Maybe tomorrow or Sunday I'll watch B&B again.

Yep, same here. As I've posted before, I can see a gnat on a dog 200 yds. off ;), but, when it comes to the close up stuff, I need my +2.50 drug store cheaters. No bifocals though, I just wear 'em so I can either look through 'em or over 'em, as needed. :)

I do that most of the time but now when I am out of the house I bought a pair of real bifocals. I can now walk through the grocery store without taking cheaters on and off to look at expiration dates. Same product but it is nice to be able to see ahead without looking though cheater glass.

I still have like 20+ cheater glasses roaming the house, coat pockets, car. Note; Bifocals do not allow me to play on laptop cause you look at laptop through dead center of lenses. For that I'd need tri-focals. Not going there, yet. Bifocals were enough of a challenge.

Not a problem for me, ever. I'm, right now, with the way I've got the cheaters positioned, watching Golden Girls as I look over my cheaters, and posting here looking through them, without ever moving my head one bit. :)

Executive decision made.
Before I go to bed on Sunday night (technically Monday morning ;)), I will shut off the timer for my outdoor Christmas lights. Sunday is my Mom's b'day. No one was a bigger Christmas fan than she was, so I'll leave them up a few more days for her.

And then, I'll let Hubby take them down one day next week.

It's supposed to rain all weekend, so most of the snow wil be swept away anyway.
(Doesn't mean we won't get more though.)

P.S. - I put all the rest of my indoor decorations away today. :(
My tree is still up.

Yeah ... and I'm the kook for dipping my grilled cheese in ketchup?
Right ....
