Cool. I figured as much I know I would hate to have that much time and of course money invested in something that is sitting idle when it makes such a HUGE impact when properly working
Just like it has been for the last 8 years? Not trying to be rude, but please, everyone, stop reporting this.Disco Yeti, was in full effect last week.
It's even been featured in the article in the Orlando Sentinel. As long as the ride draws a crowd, and as long as DAK lacks enough attractions to fill a day, the yeti will not be fixed.Perhaps the more people talk about, then perhaps something may be done. Not trying to be rude or anything.
The most reasonable excuse would be.. fixing the Yeti right when the Rivers of Light and Avatar Land opens. It's even been featured in the article in the Orlando Sentinel. As long as the ride draws a crowd, and as long as DAK lacks enough attractions to fill a day, the yeti will not be fixed.
While that may be true, I don't believe they can't keep the ride operational and work on fixing the yeti. I know he's his own structure and the ride was practically built around him, but there are solutions to every problem if the will and finances are present.Until they get another true thrill ride draw, they can't afford to let Everest go down for a lengthy refurbishment for anything other than a safety related issue. It would be attendance suicide for the whole park.
I'm betting that once Avatar opens up, we'll see the Yeti fixed.Until they get another true thrill ride draw, they can't afford to let Everest go down for a lengthy refurbishment for anything other than a safety related issue. It would be attendance suicide for the whole park.

hopefully!I'm betting that once Avatar opens up, we'll see the Yeti fixed.
So what are you eluding to?The ride. Does not. Need to close. To fix it.
That TWDC only needs to make a "surgery" fix on the Yeti?So what are you eluding to?![]()
News to me!The ride. Does not. Need to close. To fix it.
Pretty sure the yeti actually WAS fully or partially removed at least once, and the ride remained operational. I know there were one or two instances where the yeti's spot was covered with tarps and darkness.
The answer is NOT "we don't want to shut the ride down because it'll hurt the park." The answer absolutely IS "we don't want to spend the money to fix it because its still extremely popular and a huge draw anyway."
