Yep, the Looney's were a great addition to Six Flags.

I agree. We used to take the kiddos down to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antone and they had at least one Looney Tunes themed coaster, the kiddos first, and they enjoyed the walk-around characters, as well. Unless things have changed, though, that park had been slowly deteriorating over the years. We used to do that and, also, Sea World Texas down in SA once a summer. Was always more impressed with how Sea World kept the park up.
We haven't been to either in quite a few years, though.
May hafta' plan a coupla' trips before summers end, plus one to Schlitterbahn, too. :)

I remember Cartoon Network used to show all the old Looney Toons on either Saturday or Sunday mornings throughout the 90s. That was how I was introduced to them. Our mall used to also have a WB store. It was like the Disney stores, but there was a play area in the back involving different things from the old cartoons. So that always made me want to check out the old cartoons when I could find them on TV (As long as they didn't conflict with my other morning cartoons).

Years ago, our mall had a WB Store, too. I really liked the store, but, the only thing I ever remember buyin' was a WB logo Bugs Bunny mug.

I really liked the stuff they carried in the WB Stores in the mall. It was kinda like the Mega store in DTD, a little bit of everything for everyone and that is when the Disney Stores carried great merchandise from watches, excellent books, high to low end collectibles. I so miss that.

Yep. I remember when TDS carried all a' that fun, cool stuff, too. By the time I started workin' there, the main target demographic had long since changed. Ages 2-12 is the main target these days.
Even though that cool, collectible stuff was way more expensive, it moves WAY less quickly than the stuff they sell now. They now know to release the collectible stuff sporadically, and to make big hay out of it during the run-up to release. "Designer Dolls", etc.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I had a friend that would take her cat places in the car. It always sat in the back window with a "Get me out of here!" look. :joyfull:
I had a cat that used to go everywhere with me.
"C'mon Louie, let's go in the car", and he would come running from wherever.
He too, would lay in the back window, purring the whole time.

Just a vent from a Cranky Old Lady (COL) - ignore if you want...

As you probably know, I'm one of seven kids. 3 of my brothers live about 30 miles from here, and the fourth lives in FL in the winter, PA in the summer. One sister lives in FL and the other lives about 120 miles away in NH. Mom has been here with us for 6 1/2 weeks now - guess who's the only sibling to visit her? yes, the one sister 120 miles away .
The first weekend that Mom was here we hosted (better known as "fed") a cookout for them all and mentioned to them all that she really likes to have company, and that at her age she won't be with us for much longer. Apparently they feel that since she doesn't remember anything from one minute to the next, it doesn't matter whether they visit her or not. Therefore in the past 6 weeks, no visits, no phone calls, nothing! She asks about them often, and frankly I'm tired of making excuses for them.

end of rant, now back to our regularly scheduled program...

Understandable vent.
Whether she asks about them or not, out of love and respect, you would think they would still want to see her and be a part of her life as much as possible, even though her mind is failing.
Prayers.

Thanks. She actually does ask about them - she asks if they are living or dead since at her age most people she knew here are no longer living. It hurts like hell to hear her ask things like that about them, but it's just how her mind works now.
