Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
OK, this stressful day is over. My DH is staying at his Moms condo tonight. It will be a couple of hours before the brothers retrieve her and drive all the way home. DH is the rational one so hopefully he can be calming to her when she gets home to her own beddie bye.

@JenniferS I hope your tomorrow is better too. Life is hard.

Tomorrow is my Wedding Anniversary (today now but I am pretending tomorrow.) Hope the new day is better. Time for some needed sleep.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes guys. Genuinely appreciated.

So glad to hear they found her, and she's o.k. Everyone must be so relieved. Today will be a better day for you. I hope you and DH go out to a nice restaurant to celebrate your anniversary, and enjoy a few hours together, away from all the recent stress.

That is such great news! I'm glad she's ok and now you can hopefully sleep a little more peacefully. How scary that was :(

Good morning!
Glad everything turned out OK. We've only had one escape attempt here and that was 2 years ago, but we keep her under wachful eyes here - hard for her to get away with anything. Her bedroom door sticks in the summer weather, so it's easy to hear if she tries to get out during the night, plus we have a baby monitor on in her bedroom with the receiver in ours. Other than that there's always one of us here with her. It's a scary thing to think about them escaping.

So, another funny story. Apparently I forgot to turn the monitor on last night. We heard coughing on it around midnight, so we went in and gave her a drink. Turns out it was probably the kids next door coughing. Who knew! (clearly Mom didn't know, but she drank the water anyway.)

We used to keep our baby monitor on all the time in the kids room and only turn on and off the receivers. Then one day we heard conversations from a nearby house on a different channel of our receiver and realized that others could be overhearing us as well. Now when the youngest wakes up, the monitor is shut off until nap or bed time. Don't need others listening in on us!
