Not that intricate (and apologies for bringing this into an easygoing thread):

1. Wild conjecture, (conspiracy) theory, claim or post from left field;

2. Anger at any pushback on one of the above;

3. Inevitable "retirement" or general "taking my marbles home with me" statement;

Rinse, dry and repeat.
Not to apply any pressure, but, aren't there two missing from your list of five stages of grief.:confused:

@Gooferymost I like your new avatar!

I'm still here. The best way to beat the haters is to stay in the game because if I drop out they win. Can't let that happen...

I was following my mom's recipe with a slight difference. I forgot lemon juice so my gf just poured white wine and said that should do it. I think the temp was too high too.

Try this recipe next time...! ;) :)

"This is an easy pork chop recipe using just beer, ketchup and brown sugar. It's simple and quite good."

I don't want you to give up on PorkChops, they are wonderful and easy to make if done right and right is easy. When you have time post the recipe if you wish and I will take a look at it. Also how thick were the pork chops, thin, half inch, inch?

Can you tell I LOVE porkchops???

I'm not a chef, but, aren't lemon juice and white wine two completely different things with completely different results? BTW, alcohol will flame up on you fairly easily, lemon juice... not so much.

Wine really doesn't have enough alcohol to flame up. You need a higher alcohol content to flame on purpose or accident, it kind of says it in its name, the origin of Proof. Back in the bootlegger days they would light a sample as 100% that their alcohol was at least 50%

Lemon juice and wine are both used to help brine the meat but the measurements of both would be very different. Both will also burn in the pan if not done correctly more because of the sugar than the alcohol.

So who wants to bet that my mom never booked a room at the hotel when I told her to? I glanced today and saw the price went up $100.
hmm.. maybe its time to stop trusting her on these things?
I usually do all the things I recommend.. or keep reminding her...

It is OK, like the rest of LaBoulange bakery stuff made for Starbucks specifically not bad not great. That is why I was sad when LaBoulange/Starbucks bakery stuff replaced the Main Street Bakery items, they don't compare. Yet the real LaBoulange bakery actually is so good. That demonstrates what happens when owners start to alter their product and mass market bakery items for a contracts, it is bound to mess with the quality.
Agree with the mass contract.
Also hate when they try to cheapen the costs by changing quality ingredients for cheap processed (like eggs in powder instead of real eggs)
