Flambe?I was following my mom's recipe with a slight difference. I forgot lemon juice so my gf just poured white wine and said that should do it. I think the temp was too high too.

Five stages of grief?Stage 3 of your posts again, I see....
Yeah laziness got the best of us.I'm not a chef, but, aren't lemon juice and white wine two completely different things with completely different results? BTW, alcohol will flame up on you fairly easily, lemon juice... not so much.
Not that intricate (and apologies for bringing this into an easygoing thread):Five stages of grief?![]()
Not to apply any pressure, but, aren't there two missing from your list of five stages of grief.Not that intricate (and apologies for bringing this into an easygoing thread):
1. Wild conjecture, (conspiracy) theory, claim or post from left field;
2. Anger at any pushback on one of the above;
3. Inevitable "retirement" or general "taking my marbles home with me" statement;
Rinse, dry and repeat.
No those are the 3 stages of PeterismNot to apply any pressure, but, aren't there two missing from your list of five stages of grief.![]()
I didn't say anything about five stages of grief, just that he was on what I've observed as the third one in his posting pattern....Not to apply any pressure, but, aren't there two missing from your list of five stages of grief.![]()

"This is an easy pork chop recipe using just beer, ketchup and brown sugar. It's simple and quite good."
Sadly I'm out of beer.

Sad indeed.Sadly I'm out of beer.

hmm.. maybe its time to stop trusting her on these things?So who wants to bet that my mom never booked a room at the hotel when I told her to? I glanced today and saw the price went up $100.
Agree with the mass contract.It is OK, like the rest of LaBoulange bakery stuff made for Starbucks specifically not bad not great. That is why I was sad when LaBoulange/Starbucks bakery stuff replaced the Main Street Bakery items, they don't compare. Yet the real LaBoulange bakery actually is so good. That demonstrates what happens when owners start to alter their product and mass market bakery items for a contracts, it is bound to mess with the quality.
