I saw a lemur when I looked at your post, but when I hit reply I finally see the image you intended to post.

I think the original source designed it to do that so people wouldn't "steal" the image and use it elsewhere. That is why the lemur is saying, "*** dude?" Because you stole their image :jawdrop:.

Funny, that same thought actually crossed my mind earlier this morning!

On a side not...
A lemur's the best they got...?!
Could be worse.. many sites like 4chan or u4chan (or similar sites)
shows a sad panda, a troll, or similar dumb low quality images to prevent bandwith leech from hot linking images.

@PeterAlt you must try and understand that sarcasm doesn't always translate well in the written word. Mixed in with some factual things you tend to just ignore any form of logic. For example, you didn't ever seem to grasp that not only did you receive a lot of confirmation that those, now famous, Monorail Footings did exist, you failed to realize that you were making a dead argument. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand why there will never be more Monorails or Monorail lines. In fact we should consider ourselves fabulously lucky if they don't disappear completely. You seemed to insist that just because there was something buried there 30 years ago it had some meaning other then at that point in time, they might have harbored the idea to extend it. You were ridiculed because you insisted that it proved that they indeed had plans to extend it, which, again, many of us agreed with. Your inability to accept that many, many things are thought about and even semi-planned that never happen.

Some of the things that you have done do not indicate that your elevator always goes up to the top floor. For example, you come on here with a new name in an effort to "start over". Then you start "hinting" about who you really are. Even after you were told that you cannot have more then one identity, you continued like the mods are incapable of reading these threads. Please never commit a crime because it seems certain to many of us that you will turn yourself in long before the police know that a crime was committed.

Then you post a paragraph of complete gibberish, that I'm sure you felt was just about the most clever thing ever posted and you were having to explain that it seemed like gibberish because that is exactly what it was... why are people not responding positively?

For some reason you think that it's your screen name that lost credibility. Think about it, once you let on who you were, those that didn't know it was you to begin with still were seeing the same thing posted by the same person. Why do you think people are not aware of whom they are talking too.

When you come on here and post with logic and sincerity and enough time has passed, perhaps you will gain respect for your words. That's not being mean Peter, that is trying to help you understand why you solicit the degree of reaction that you get.

Agree, it almost feels like that his worries got the best out of Peter and made him autosabotage himself.

OK, so here's a shot of my laptop screen from my phone.
Take that, ya' lemur bas**** :devilish:

A bit of a cybersaurus here, so I'm not sure what address you're referring to. But, I just simply googled "Images of a disco dancing yeti" found somethin' silly, and then copy-pasted as per usual. Got that image again, and am gonna' try it one more time right here and now...

I'm seein' the yeti in this post too, just like last night, what about y'all...?

Lemur. Starting to think you 're just messing with us.

Or maybe, we're messing with you.

First, these buried things you mentioned is not the basis for any if my arguments. It's just a side-point. But, the fact I got so much grief over this and other things I said that were right, should not be ignored and left unnoticed.

As to coming on here and "starting over". You didn't read what I posted earlier. I will repeat. There are serious issues associated with this account which I am not at liberty to discuss publicly. Just take my word for it. I never intended to "fool" anyone, as I let people know right away it was me by playing a game of hints, and asking that this account be terminated. I don't want to break rules.

As to the "gibberish" paragraph. I wasn't trying to be "clever". I was trying to make a point, and I even got lost in the words as I was trying to articulate it, seriously. Instead of going back to rewrite it, it made me laugh when I reviewed it, so I kept it because I wanted others to laugh too. After all, I am me and I wouldn't be me if I tried to censor "Peter, the dim-witted philosopher" part of who I am (which is in itself hysterical) from everyone. Some will laugh with me, some won't - it doesn't matter. I haven't spoiled anyone's day by telling a bad joke, but I have brightened someone's day for those who I did make smile.

Thank you for your concern! Now, let's please never talk about this again. :)
OK with me. But don't say that you haven't had people try and tell you why it all got to this point to begin with. The fact that you don't recognize that, is really the problem and will probably continue to be in the foreseeable future.

OH MYYYYY!!!
Being both a Disnut and having a career in architecture, you just provided me with a stairway to heaven!!!!! :joyfull:
I mostly skimmed it (while tingling), and will check it out more thoroughly over the weekend, but, thank you so VERY much for that!!! :)
Right now, I use both the CAD and SketchUp programs, but, we are already in the beginnings of a switchover to Revit (BIM) as mentioned on that site. Basically, we work in CAD and then modify and import the information we need into the separate SketchUp program to do the 3-D modeling, and then to Piranesi for final presentation rendering.
But, the firm is currently on track with Revit. Revit is quite intense and invloved, but it pretty much accomplishes the first 2 (CAD and SketchUp) in one program. The file can also be added to by every engineer, contractor, subcontractor, etc. involved in the project, thus keeping everyone in the loop and making sure everyone is aware what the others a doing in regards to the overall project. Essentially, a bunch of time is spent incorporating and coordinating all this information up front, but, ultimately makes for a much smoother process because everyone involved is always aware in real time of what's going on with every aspect of the project at all times. Everyone is in the loop, and that makes for a much more efficient process overall, saving headaches, time, and most importantly (as always), $$$money$$$. :greedy: ;) :)

Anyway, thanks again...!!!!! :)

Did you know Star Bucks sells pizza now?!

I'm at Star Bucks now and ordered one. Pretty good. They don't call it pizza... La Boulange...

It is OK, like the rest of LaBoulange bakery stuff made for Starbucks specifically not bad not great. That is why I was sad when LaBoulange/Starbucks bakery stuff replaced the Main Street Bakery items, they don't compare. Yet the real LaBoulange bakery actually is so good. That demonstrates what happens when owners start to alter their product and mass market bakery items for a contracts, it is bound to mess with the quality.

I can hear the drool hitting the floor from here. My husband is moving away from CAD too. He spent a week at a conference learning the new program too and came home a bit bewildered. He had used CAD for so long and the instructor just plowed threw the program like they all were familiar with it.

Yep, apparently the info overload can be quite mind-numbing. There was an instructor in our office for the entire week last week for about 8 of our CAD people that produce construction documents. They liked what they were seein' and hearin', but, to a person, they said there heads were about to explode, even on Friday (no Half-day Friday for them - they were there 'til 6p). As a designer, it's not sometin' they need me to be involved in right away 'cause there's so much work they just want me crankin' out design, but, I will also eventually be makin' the switch.
