When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
To the best of my recollection, these are the FPLP play sets that my brother and I had. He seldom played with them, so they were basically mine.

I was never really one to play with Barbie; with her big , vapid expression and metro boyfriend. My world was populated with Little People.

Sadly, I never had the village. My friend did, but her mom wouldn't let her give it to me because she had a younger special-needs brother who loved it.

My favorite was the farm...

So another night on the Crazy Train here. Mom got her self so worked up I ended up yelling at her. Now I'm feeling like a piece of crap...

I had the farm as a kid. Ahhh, nostalgia.

I know I am going to come across heartless here, but, did it help? If it did then I wouldn't feel guilty as she will probably forget it right away anyway and in the meantime you bring a situation somewhat into control. You are a person too, and as one it is necessary to deal with your own mental health. We all would like to feel that we can handle all situations with grace and extreme patience, but, being human we have to release our tension too. It might just help make the next situation a little easier to cope with. :grumpy:

Thanks, and I don't really know that it helped. She was crying, I was crying and poor DH was left trying to calm us both down. I know she can't help it, but I should know better....

I know it's hard, but, please allow yourself to acknowledge your frustration and fears. No one wants to have to see their Mother become someone that we no longer recognize. My Daughters are dealing with that now, and it isn't easy to deal with. They sometimes vent their frustration, but, inevitably are there for her, and that's what's really important.

Well, closing early turned into, "Give all the interns a pep talk and then play darts." Still better than actually working....

What I wanna know is why the interns were the only ones, minus our mentor, in the office at the end of the day...there can't have been that many appointments...

Welcome to the workforce. You'll likely see half day Fridays frequently in life especially around the holidays and the summertime.
