I like Olive Garden. We don't have them in Ontario any more, so we often hit one in Buffalo.

Not that I even want to think about food right now, but I think we've decided on Outback for tomorrow.

The last time I went to Olive Garden I had the best chicken alfredo I've ever had. They put much more alfredo sauce on there than they needed to, which was great for my taste buds. :hungry:

I also had an excellent chicken alfredo-esque dish at Mama Melrose's on our trip in March. Instead of alfredo sauce it was a 4 (or 5) cheese sauce. Delicious!

Dessert & Coffee:

Vanilla pudding filled brownie with vanilla gelato. Hubby's, although I bet you thought it was mine.

His was a fairly small portion, but he said it was absolutely perfect.
I didn't try any (despite being offered) because I didn't want to share any of mine.

Creme brûlée (obviously):

FYI - If creme brûlée is offered, I will always pick it.

In summary, our meal voucher/dinner for two was $78. The crab cakes, up charge and tax came to another $26. Add 20% tip, and we were out of there for $46 total.

On the JenniferS scale - a solid 9.5/10. Service was also excellent.

I am so envious of your coffee tray.

What a pretty presentation. Slurp.

I dipped my strawberry garnish in the whipped cream, then the chocolate curls.

When my strawberry was done, I ate the remaining whipped cream with one of those adorable tiny spoons.

About now I wish I were you. Tomorrow DD and I are heading to Wisconsin. Joy Joy. Bet the coffee I am served isn't going to look like that. :p

I haven't been to Olive Garden in probably 15 years...

I had an excellent Penne Vodka with cherry tomato's and prosciutto on Sunday at a place near my Dad's house though. :hungry:

I really like Olive Garden's Basic meat sauce and I am out after that. When we go to the mall area a plate of spaghetti is so much better than a food court or fast food in the area. I do however buy their salad dressing, it is a staple in my refrigerator.

I haven't owned a Nintendo system in a very long time so I haven't seen a DK game in ages. I loved his N64 game although I forget if I ever finished it or not.

I'm not sure of the rational but we have retained all of our game systems and the games for each of them. They are in plastic boxes about the size of a bankers box. They come out every so often. Except the Atari which is upstairs on a shelf of honor. The newest addition is my DD's Wii, she took that off to college her Freshman year, it came home the second semester and remained home. She deep down isn't a gamer either. My DS and DH spent countless hours over a few decades gaming.

I remember them connecting their game boys to each others on a flight to Orlando and neither of them stopped until we landed.

Why the sudden disappearance of Franchises in Ontario?

I like Outback too, that gorgeous bloomin' onion.
also a big fan of the Thoomwomba steak.

My childhood N64 and Super Nintendo are packed away somewhere at Mom's. She was obsessed with Banjo-Kazooie so I'm surprised she doesn't have the N64 set up somewhere. Probably still have all my old Gameboy games too despite the actual Gameboy being stolen long ago.

Right now I just have the 360 until I can justify buying a new gen console. It needs to be more than a Netflix viewing machine.

The whole Darden Restaurant group has gone through major restructuring and have closed over 100 under preforming restaurants while opening others. Season's 52 is doing well, ours in N. IL grabbed the former executive chef from California Grill at Disney. Darden sold off Red Lobster last month. Outbacks around here are beginning to show their age and Long-Horn who also sell an Onion too is kicking butt and is also owned by Darden.

Darden also owns Bahama Breeze, Yard House, Capital Grille's, Wildfish and Eddie V's. They launch a new one and usually dump the lower performing ones, right now Olive Garden is slipping the same way Red Lobster has in recent years.

My N64 is in our basement, but I have no idea where the games to it went. I was looking for them one day because I wanted to play one game, but was disappointed when I couldn't find anything but the console and controllers. I still have all but one version of the Gameboys I owned (I owned three).

Right now among our family we have a 360 that I use to play a couple games every now and then, a PS2 that goes unused, and a Wii that my dad uses for Netflix. We gave our PS1 to my cousins years ago. The next gen consoles are too expensive and not worth the price for what we would actually use them. The biggest upside in upgrading would be not having my 360 sound like a jet in takeoff.

Yep, we Mom's are great at packing up and storing those TOYS. If I let my brain calculate what I have spent on systems and games over the last 30 years between my DH & DS, Oy.

My PS2 died and those games may have been given away since they were in plain sight and not nicely packed away when my mom had a "I hate this mess of a house!" attack.

The first 360 I had wasn't that loud. The current one I have is almost as loud as my window unit air conditioner. I thought Skyrim was going to cause the thing to set on fire it got so loud.

Well the Bug scientists were wrong. They said we would have a low level of mosquitoes do to larva freezing and staying frozen for so long in sub zero temps.

I am here to say the Mosquito population is more than healthy for this time of year. After tonight's Pup walk I look like I have measles.

So much for science.

I also remember we have a Gamecube tucked away somewhere in the basement. The PS2 is in a bag in my closet, and the majority of the games are in my brother's room. You know, because that makes sense. I have a short bookshelf in my room with the top shelf for DVDs, and the bottom for Gamecube, 360, and random computer games. It's kind of interesting how the games and consoles ended up in different places of the house.
