Shimalan's movie definitively was a huge thurd.
from whitewashing, to concentrate the entire season 1 in a single movie.. to making the bending bending outright terrible and many other things (plot wise, structure wise, character wise )
I honestly couldn't handle more than 10 minutes after the movie started... and that is from someone who has watched cheap syfy movies fully.

I just really hope the rumor; where he is mentioned to be directing the second movie as well and making TOPH (the blind bandit, aka the blind earth bender) older and not blind. is actually a really cheap troll attempt to infuriate the fans even further.
I own all the animated season with Aang (and it peed me off Shyamalan changed the pronunciation of the names :devilish: it's AAng not ONg) but when the reboot came out with the female Airbender, it was too "modernized" and lost it's charm. I tried watching but couldn't.

I'm under a doctors care... two, actually (my pcp and chiropractor/physical therapist) and I'm listening, this time.
Good girl! My orthopedist was OK, just kept saying it needed time, but my PT was really great. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand, and explained why it was important to take it easy. Unfortunately once school started in the fall I just couldn't rest it as much as I should. Darn kids!;)

the main series are ok, but they focus too much on "romance" where they shouldnt.
forcing the romantic plot on korra a few times make me get bored.
Also, I think the plan was to have just a single season.. but the popularity made nick extend it.
You can easily notice how crammed the first season is and both the finales.

While the show is still very good in most aspects... They lost the "kid against world" feeling. Also the fact that despite Korra's very strong personality (very opposite of Aaang) she is in fact made weaker than Aang for dramatic purposes.

He is talking about one of those awful movies guy that directed the Sixth Sense made recently.

I think Shimalan got seriously blind on what a good movie really needs, after his huge success with the sixth sense I mean.
Every single movie he has done.. as been gradually worse after "Lady in the Water".
He used to do a movie and then implement a twist near the end.
Now, all his movies depend on that twist.. hence the jokes on him.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I got a diagnosis with what's wrong with my knee/calf/thigh/foot.

Iliotibial band syndrome- the big muscle that runs basically from your thigh down to foot... I somehow managed to jack this whole thing up.

Chondromalacia patella- damaged cartilage UNDER my knee cap. Awesome. I've suspected this for years, tbh..and so has my doctor.

And a nice helping of plantar fasciitis because it's awesome and I don't see why I shouldn't have incredible pain in my heel, constantly... mainly limited to left leg, not so much the right.

I'm not allowed to wear sandals for a few weeks -minimum- and I'm not allowed to fat-person jog on the treadmill for a while either. Walking only. Lots of stretching. And anti-inflammatory pills by the handful.

Yep, I'm miserable and in pain today.
Well that stinks! Sorry for your misery.
Hope you feel better soon.

I just seen the news.. kinda sad way to "go". hitting her head in the bathroom I mean.
I just hope it was instant an not like others who suffer for hours before the help arrives and they finally succumb.

That is also how we Chicagoans lost our Baseball commentator Harry Carary. He was leaving a restaurant, lost his balance and cracked his head on a table.

My FIL did a similar thing. He was walking outside slipped on black ice and cracked his head but didn't go to the doctor until a day later he was talking gibberish and the paramedics took him away. The neurosurgeon said he'd either die on the table or be a veggie. After a late night surgery I called the next morning and he was awake and eating a cheeseburger. While everyone was elated with some physical therapy he would be OK (ultimately walked with a cane) he didn't know anyone and I was the who observed this and told the doctor. My FIL a good and proper man kept referring to me as "Babe" in that tone some guy would talk to a female in a bar. After a couple weeks in the hospital and physical and speech therapy he got everything back and lived another 12 years with a limp the only issue from the fall. He remembered nothing of the fall or his weeks in the hospital, that was gone forever. The surgeon credited God not himself, saying there was nothing that indicated surgery would save him. Me I'll always smile and remember the time the man named me "Babe."

My favorite lunch place has named my custom salad the "Herbivore Deluxe". I'm OK with this.

The salad has baby kale, spinach, walnuts, dried cranberries, mandarin oranges, a handful of granny smith apple chunks, strawberries, watermelon, almond slices and feta cheese. I fancy balsamic vinegarette but opted for a sesame ginger today.
