One Little Spark...
they could just use the "Avatar, the land of the Navi"

but yeah, everytime I heard of avatar.. It reminds me of the Nickelodeon series.
Which, was far superior, and unfortunately present around the same time.

Though, the movie (which came out the same year as Avatar as I recall) was terrible...so...maybe Cameron did us all a service?

The last days off school are such a blow-off. They came up with some creative ideas to waste the days. One is a full day of outside play with a playground picnic, another day they rented out the college movie theater to see a movie, one day they are visiting their sister elementary school in the morning to see how that school is then in the afternoon that school is visiting her school, science day where they do various projects at different stations in the gym, stuff we never did in school of course. :)

Man, I wish we did that here. Last week (for high school) is final exams and 2 hour review periods for the kids. I am truly dreading having 2 of those review periods with my least favorite class...

I lived through 2 winters in Baltimore recently. I was not any nicer. Heck, living in north Texas where I am now can be too much sometimes with the 3 or so wintry days a year.

If it was last winter (2012-2013), that doesn't count. One of the mildest winters in Baltimore history - our biggest snowfall was the 5 inches on the day before Halloween! Now this winter was certainly worse, but we also have become a bit wimpy with winter/snow as the past few have been pretty easy. Now, February 2010 was a different story...

I had an elderly uncle who owned exactly ONE suit for about 20 years! He wore it to any occasion that required a suit and tie. He said it was a waste of money to have two suits. :hilarious: HA! (Note: He worked as a tradesman, so a suit was not required for his work; he only wore it for weddings and funerals!)

Hubby is an electrician so has no use for suits. Unfortunately he has 5 of then because every time he needs one the old one doesn't fit!!

Anything not an ad for Brad Benson Hyundai is a step up.

That guy is out of his mind.

Shimalan's movie definitively was a huge thurd.
from whitewashing, to concentrate the entire season 1 in a single movie.. to making the bending bending outright terrible and many other things (plot wise, structure wise, character wise )
I honestly couldn't handle more than 10 minutes after the movie started... and that is from someone who has watched cheap syfy movies fully.

I just really hope the rumor; where he is mentioned to be directing the second movie as well and making TOPH (the blind bandit, aka the blind earth bender) older and not blind. is actually a really cheap troll attempt to infuriate the fans even further.

I got a diagnosis with what's wrong with my knee/calf/thigh/foot.

Iliotibial band syndrome- the big muscle that runs basically from your thigh down to foot... I somehow managed to jack this whole thing up.

Chondromalacia patella- damaged cartilage UNDER my knee cap. Awesome. I've suspected this for years, tbh..and so has my doctor.

And a nice helping of plantar fasciitis because it's awesome and I don't see why I shouldn't have incredible pain in my heel, constantly... mainly limited to left leg, not so much the right.

I'm not allowed to wear sandals for a few weeks -minimum- and I'm not allowed to fat-person jog on the treadmill for a while either. Walking only. Lots of stretching. And anti-inflammatory pills by the handful.

Yep, I'm miserable and in pain today.

Sorry about all that, but please follow your doctor's advice. I tore my plantar fascia 3 years ago (the day before DD's wedding) and was in a boot for 5 months. Still have issues with it from time to time.
