Prom is in less than one week.

Thankfully Son #2's black suit (from my mom's funeral) still fits, so I only needed to get him a new shirt, tie and pocket square.
Blue. That's all the direction I got. I made him come with me, although he was ZERO help.

What think you?

I approve (like it really matters ;))!
The varying blues on the tie bridge the lighter blue of the shirt and brighter blue of the pocket square together nicely. :)

Actually, your opinion probably counts the most!
That's what I was going for - very few pocket squares from which to choose, but I thought the tie pulled it all together.

Compare these prices for me. Everything was buy one, get one free.
Blue CK shirt (15 1/2" Tall) - $99
Pink Pronto Uomo shirt (17 1/2" Tall - not pictured) - $89 - FREE!
Tie - $63
Pocket Square - $24.99 - FREE!

What would your store have charged?

Our standard dress shirts are $19.99. Slim fit dress shirts are $39.99. Mostly solid colors, some with tight, tonal striping.
All ties are $19.99. All regular ties (which we have about 4 times as many as skinny ties) come with a pocket square at that price. Only a few of the skinny ties come with pocket squares, but, they are still $19.99.
Our sport shirts (Via Uomo is one brand we carry) range anywhere from about $125-$175, but, are usually discounted about 30-50%.

I apparently aggravated my calf/knee/foot/ankle really bad. The heel of my foot is red and painful and I can't walk. I'm trying to keep my misery to myself.

My weekend: over extend my energy supply at family going away military picnic yesterday, after emptying water out of hot tub manually and covering said hot tub with thick plastic (threw some bleach into hot tub for good measure) and then the beat up cover that my landlord finally agreed to replace.

This morning I cut the grass, weeded the flower and vegetable gardens, tied up growing tomato planties, painted rocks (long story), got a wicked sunburn, and ran errands to several stores. Now I'm on the couch unable to move my left leg without pain.

I expect a full weekend report of how everyone's was on my desk Monday morning :)

Wow! You got a lot done!
Hope your leg feels better soon...!

Yesterday I just played lazy. As far as today went, lots of work out in the yard. No planting, but, a lot of mowing again and trimming due to the recent much-needed rains.

Am I uncouth enough to hack off a chunk of yesterday's leftover cold steak, and just eat it? Caveman style?

Yes, apparently I am.

Again, I approve...!!! :joyfull: :D ;) :)

Crabcake was delicious, but a rather meager app to share. My duck was good, but the ahi tuna my gf had was delicious. The drunken doughnuts were awesome. I have no food pictures to share however. I feel weird doing that in nice places.

Oh yum, few places make yummy crab cakes, one of my favorites is from Kona. I've only had drunken doughnuts from the Wilderness Lodge they are pretty awesome. The dipping sauce starts with Grand Marnier (they had me there) butter (drool) and (real) maple syrup. :hungry: OK now I want them.

Good grief! Me too...!!! :hungry: :)

Oh no.
Hope he gets home soon and y'all have a good time. Drink plenty of free beer, wine and... for me! ;) :)

We were only about 45 minutes late and we made it before food was put out so I managed a nice help'n of wine before dinner, beer for the DH, quite the variety. Standard huge crowd fare except they had a potato bar, but it was mashed potatoes. I could have just ate that. Little green onions, fresh chopped bacon, sour cream, cheddar cheese shreds. Dang the mashed potato version was so good as were her potatoes on their own. :hungry:

That would be nice. There's supposed to only be 2 days of school left but thanks to old man winter, they had to add 6 more to the end of the year. :grumpy:

So jealous. We're in until the 16th of June. That was our original last day and hasn't changed (had a lot of snow days, but they had planned for 8 anyway)

This!! Mashed Potato Bar!!!!! I played a wedding where they had one. Had to sneak a couple visits. Hoping to have some reason to get a large catered event some time so I can have one. Excellent.
