Frozen ride replacing Maelstrom?

Leave Pheneix out of this since you and the duck guy seem to have some sort of strange issues with him. Spirit said Frozen is coming to EPCOT and he had some details for us when he gets back and then there is this post:

Both reputable sources. I doubt they will be calling the pavilion Arendelle. If this happens it will be an overhaul of the Maelstrom ride with possible meet and greet and/or character meals.
I don't know what you are fishing for. I've already stated many times in this thread that I think that plopping a Frozen ride where Maelstrom is would be a great idea. I also expressed favor of the ride exiting through a Frozen gift shop, having an A&E meet and greet, and adding them to the Norway character meals. It is the idea that they are going to actually do away with the Norway pavilion and make it a Frozen pavilion that I believe is one person's fantasy.

So tell us then, what would you people do to make EPCOT more interesting? More booze and food? Hate to tell everyone that attractions draw kids, parents come with the kids, PARENTS spend the money. Money makes the world go round. I will not go so far as to say the more money they make the better the parks get, cuz we already see the issues.
There is no law saying that attractions must be based on movies.

Hate to tell you, "You're dead if you aim only for kids."

Have you been to the Norway Pavilion? What exactly would be left following you're "realistic" idea? The snack counter?

The parks were designed for the family, not just kids. That clearly isn't the case anymore, but that's why you had terrifying dark rides, a World Showcase, etc. Not everything needs to be catered to one audience. I overheard today numerous people calling MK a kid park. That should not be how the Magic Kingdom and WDW as a whole are viewed. They are turning away a large audience and they don't even realize it. I'm not knocking kids, not saying they don't deserve attractions for them, but it used to be balanced. It's very slanted towards the kids. The promos themselves prove this. Why are little kids shown riding Everest?

They know that they can play on the parents who want their children to relive what they went through as kids in the park or make those memories but it's not the same as it was. I'm sure parents are going to disagree with this and that's fine, but Walt Disney (as many people like to bring him up, I'm just following suit) never wanted the park geared towards just children.

Did you see the concept art for the Brazil pavilion @Lee posted in the rat ride thread? There are still great ideas floating around WDI for EPCOT. They have whole attraction buildings vacant on the other side of the park. A redo of Imagination, do something with Wonders of Life, a new country in WS or any number of WS unique rides (bullet train in Japan and Rhine River tour in Germany come to mind)
So many possibilities for World Showcase without needing to use characters. While people here seem to be fond of the Rhine River Cruise, I think a dark ride based on the tales of the Brothers Grimm could be a little more exciting. I like the idea of Japan getting a simulated bullet train ride (maybe including a fight scene between Godzilla and the monster from the new movie? ;)). And then the obvious Gondola and Log rides for Italy and Canada respectively.

Museums were around long before children's museums. You don't need to dumb down everything to appeal to children or adult man-children that seem to think disney world should be all disney movies all the time.

Attractions bring guests, not children. Attractions can be amazing and appeal to everyone like pirates or haunted mansion.

I know I'm the minority but I loved disney world since I was young and never cared for the movies.

Lots.

The gift shop/ride exit is not going to take up a significant amount of room. The m&g could be put where the movie is currently or where the rotting ship used to be. No changes to the current shops, bakery, or restaurant would be necessary.

I'll repost it here.
This is the sort of thing World Showcase needs. Not more 'toons.
(Hence the name. A Showcase for the countries and cultures of the World. Not a Fantasyland annex.)

Stop making sense lee, some members can't handle a concept of every square foot of wdw not having cartoons everywhere.

I would love more countries and see world showcase grow. I want high brow entertainment for a change!

Of course, if it seriously annoys people I suggest going for the ignore option. I on the other hand find trolls amusing, especially when they angrily call people out and proceed to contradict their advice within a matter of minutes, hours or days. It's inciting and contradictory just for the sake of rousing people (and it all too often works to steer conversation away from what we actually want to discuss). @Pixiedustmaker used to do it all the time when they were actively trolling @pheneix in the past, perhaps some relation to our new friend?

Amusing case in point: calling someone out about grammar and posting this never-ending diatribe.

Right after you learn the grammatical value of a question mark. :p

You know, making the joke about that big press ceremony two and a half weeks ago, when the Disney representative came out in front of the assembled press and fans and announced Harambe Nights at AK, and showed some more concept art from Avatar Land because they didn't have any more to show from it, and they did some promotion for Typhoon Lagoon's rehab, talked some more about SDMT and the arm bands, and strangely...suspiciously, I think...said ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about their big Frozen plans that would have involved a million-dollar outlay, huge expected audience reactions, and a major overhaul of one of their existing areas.

Anyone seen Tom Fitzgerald in the park since his appointment? I saw him at MK in January, but haven't heard talk of him in WDW since.

Can you rework that to enter Mexico too? Maybe run down the cartoons there and grab a Frozen margarita.
You know, speaking of reworking Mexico..
I'm still scratching my head and wondering what donald as to do with Mexico other than having a Hat.
should be Ponchito (or Panchito ) Pistolas the one to be there?

How does the mere fact that people are talking about it in the forums mean that the idea has legs? If that were true, there would 15 or twenty DLs spread all over the United States.
At this point I really wonder if you're trolling, noone can be THIS DENSE while browsing a RUMORS AND NEWS forum.. even after how certain individuals with reputation.. have PREDICTED CORRECTLY a big bunch of changes in Disney.

I'm behind any ride that swings me by the tequila bar!
And people complain about the F&W festival being a drunkfest... now there will be rides designed for drinking? XD
