I Want An Alice in Wonderland Dark Ride...

If we are going to go just by classic Dark Rides that are open at the moment it's

Magic Kingdom

Peter pan's flight
Winnie the pooh
The little mermaid
Mine train whenever it opens

Disneyland
Roger rabbit
Alice
Mr toad
Peter Pan
Snow white
Winnie the pooh
Pinocchio

You forgot Monsters Inc. at DCA.

EDIT: Never mind, just re-read your post. Haha.

Isn't it just? Especially when they also have Mermaid elsewhere and CarToon Spin just behind the berm too.

You forgot Disneylands Alice ride btw. So Anaheim's Fantasyland has 50% more. Add Orlandos Dwarf Coaster and you can add Disneylands Casey Jr and Storybook boats, widening the gap even more.

And so sometime this year the lists would read:

Snow White Scary Adventures
Pinocchio's Daring Journey
Peter Pan's Flight
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
It's A Small World
Alice in Wonderland
Casey Jr
StorybookLand Canal cruises

Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
Under The Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid
Peter Pan's Flight
It's a Small World
Dwarf Coaster
add Philharmagic too if we're looking at attractions and not rides.

You also can't forget that DLR has the Matterhorn in Fantasyland so I guess we could say the new Mine Coaster is the east coasts answer to the west coast behemoth coaster.

Seeing the new AA's for the Mine Train, and all of the new Disney rides with a trackless system makes me want an AIW dark ride even more! Just imagine the possibilities! I think they could really pull off some cool effects.

I agree about a Wonderland addition to NF, but I'd like a different, more ambitious one than the one in Disneyland (although that one does have its charms).

Just as long as they don't go anywhere near this ungodly version of a Train wreck I would be fine...

From what I have read about the recent refurb of the DL version of Alice as it's getting "enchancements" to the ride after OSHA went all over them they stated that they were getting a new Queen of Hearts AA for the ride...I'm going to assume it will be very similar to the Dwarfs style AA's.

I agree. I do NOT want a Burtonesque version of an Alice ride :P . I'd want one based on the Disney animated version, even though that's about my least fave of all the Disney films.

I personally feel the Alice ride should stay exclusive to DL.

Probably because the reason we GOT so much Alice at DL was "first dibs"--Parks always have a heavy representation of what was the big studio push at the time it was built.
Disneyland was planned in the 50's, so there was heavy push for Alice and Sleeping Beauty...WDW was built in '71, just in time for the Robin Hood characters to become permanent residents...Disney Studios opened in '89, and tried to be "the Roger Rabbit park"...Animal Kingdom opened in time to plug Tarzan and A Bug's Life, and All-Star Movies was built in time for being one of the few places to spot all the Fantasia 2000 references you could ever hope for.
(Darn, if Art of Animation had been delayed a year, we would've gotten the Tangled or Frozen wing.)

...You may like Alice, but it BELONGS at Walt's 50's park.

Peter Pan, Snow White and Mr. Toad were made in the 30's, 40's and 50's, and their ride counterparts made it into MK. I'm not sure I understand your point.

At WDW, we have the Alice teacups, and maybe Alice at Epcot UK.
At Disneyland, we have Alice teacups, the Alice dark ride, the entire Alice cast, including the Tweedles, as permanent daily characters...O-kay, Walt, we GET it! :p
(Walt didn't even like the movie that much, it was just 1955!)

What? I'm still so confused.

I agree. I have many awesome memories of the Disneyland Alice in Wonderland ride both as a child then with with my own kids. I would love one at WDW.

They should've incorporated Wonderland "mini land" in the FLE.
I say demolish the meet and greet space for merida, get rid of the rinky cafe and put the dark ride right next to pooh! No doubt our fantasyland pails in comparison to disneyland and we could always use more dark rides in that area to soak up the crazy crowds. Plus it would be next to the tea cups so that would be perfect!

This spot is perfect, but they would have to hide the show building real good!

One thing I miss dearly about Disneyland is the Alice in Wonderland ride. I loved riding at night!

Didn't they use to have a mini wonderland at Disneyland Paris? Like with a maze and stuff?
