Why on earth would your professor give you a quiz on something you haven't yet gone over in class??? I don't get professors sometimes...

Sounds like a reading quiz. Used to have them all the time in my history classes in college. "Read this and there will be a quiz and we will never discuss it and it will be on the final."

AIDA. I taught the singers and direct the orchestra while playing piano. Relatively fun - better than the last few years shows. Since it is written by Elton John, there's a LOT of piano. I have to ice my hands each night after the rehearsals or shows because they swell up pretty big. My high school did that one of the years I was there. My favorite HS musical from the 4 years I was there was All Shook Up <-- that was funny. They also did Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (my freshman year, I believe). And I missed one of them because of on appointment.

Sometimes a quiz is just to prove that you did the reading. I had a high school English teacher who quizzed us every Monday on certain pages of the Sunday paper. I still think of him when I read the editorial page.

I've yet to have a reading quiz in college. We had them in high school, but never in college. Thank goodness; I hated those things. I guess my professors expect that you'll read it and if you haven't read it, they'll figure it out during the lecture and deduct your participation grade. No more history for me.

Lucky for my my iPhone doesn't work because I left it in the microwave to long and now it doesn't respond to touch. Im not going to explain why it was in there in the first place, but the microwave wasn't ever going when my phone was in there. My moms phone was in there too. Hers still works, except for her lock button, Im not sure what to do!!!

Whenever I have a reading, I either A) never need to know it, B) learn it in lecture anyway, C) have to write/do something about/with it.

A is the case of my art class. Every day we have an assigned reading, every day we don't need to know anything from the reading. So guess who doesn't read any of the art textbook? A) PUSH B) The rest of the art class C) A & B

I love FaceOff but this season I just can't get into it. I really think they need to space the new seasons out more. I liked the season where they put the former contestants against the rookies but I don't like the reasoning behind why they did it. (I never did find out why during that season there was a violation of the rules and it affected the outcome.) My favorite seasons were 2 (with RJ) and season 3 (with Roy). Although I don't like how season 3 ended with a person voted off coming back to win it all. The backlash that caused was the reason they had to do a vet vs. rookie season. Notice how they changed the ending of future seasons to the winner NOT being picked by the public.

I missed Foxy & Friends but am looking forward to the Creature Shop. Did you ever watch Opposite Worlds?

I loved RJ! I really suck with remembering names but him I do, he was amazing. I don't know what the violation was either. I'm glad the voting is done by the judges because I don't typically care for audience involvement via social media, it bugs me.

This season there's a few very talented guys (none of the girls) but no one is truly memorable.

I love Glenn Hedtrick (sp on last name). He's very critical of the work and very fair. I feel like Vee plays favorites sometimes...

This is so funny! I love that you engaged in a springtime, flower-smelling ritual, in front of a lobby filled with people! You should have gone ahead with the cat style though, and really shaken them up even more. Would have been worth it. Heck, if they were staring at you to begin with, it just proves to me that they have no fun spirit left in them.

I can't help myself! I love the fresh scent of flowers and these ones were stunning. They drew me over (and into a crowd of business suit clad men) to sniff them. I prefer to stop and smell the flowers rather than blow past and miss a good sniffing opportunity!

I plan on doing it again tomorrow. And the next day, and the day after!

Take time to smell the flowers..... literally.

Our test grades for like 80% of our grade. We have 80pts of random assignments, and then two journal reviews. Speaking of which, I don't know if we're supposed to be doing those on our own, or if she'll assign them... Not to worry, I'll figure it out the final two weeks of the semester and then get stressed with everything that's due. College life.
