That's funny. I work in the GTA, listen to Toronto talk-radio all day, and I never heard a word about this.

The big news here is that a very high-profile centrist/right wing candidate has announced his candidacy for mayor, and may end up splitting the right-of-centre vote, allowing an as-yet-undeclared NDP Olivia Chow to sweep to victory.
Olivia Chow would make a far worse mayor than Ford ever did. She will make him look like Churchill/Reagan/Diefenbaker all rolled into one.

In a perfect world, Ford would drop out of the race, leaving it to Olivia Chow (far, far, far left) and John Tory (centre-right) to duke it out.

Not commenting on any politics here, but when I saw GTA, I thought Grand Theft Auto. Just sayin.

I think the Hatter exit was enough to hold me over for another year. Oddly enough, he did come back too... just under a new user name. I don't think he's been on that account in a while, though. Quite frankly, I really don't care.

Moral of the story: the YAGEers (if I may call them that) tend to come back.
