Lunch before plane ride home

So on the last day of our trip (May 1st), we have some time before we have to head to the airport for our flight home that evening. Any suggestions for a good but casual lunch spot not in the parks? I was thinking Olivia's or Beaches & Cream.

Big River Grille or the Captains grille are also good choices if you are in the Epcot resort area. Beaches and Cream can get very busy.

We had lunch on Sanaa on our departure day last trip. While AKL is a bit more remote, the meal was very easy in and out, food was great, and if you get a window seat...you'll have a nice view of the animals while you dine.

Ah I forgot about Sanaa, I have never been. You have made the decision more difficult now. :)

As tasty as B&C is, with ice cream sundaes that big I'd worry about any intestinal distress on the plane ride home! Your poor seat mates! I now they at least do a number on me!
I'd consider resort hopping amongst the monorail hotels and stopping for lunch in one of their restaurants - Grand Floridian Cafe, Kona Cafe or The Wave. And if you were on the meal plan and have any left over snack credits, pick up something you can nosh on on the plane, like one of the Contempo's giant cupcakes, or something that might keep better, like their small bags of cookies or candies.

We always stay in the Magic Kingdom area so for our last lunch we hit either the Grand Floridian Cafe or Kona Cafe if on the monorail or Whipsering Canyon if we stay in the Wilderness Lodge. Any one of these has a good lunch menu.

On our last trip we headed over to DTD to shop & grab a bite to eat. Easy Peasy.

Cookes of Dublin is a very nice quick service spot, though the food is cooked to order, so you might have to wait a bit, especially if there's a crowd. Still, deep fried hamburger? Mmmm....

Hollywood Brown Derby for a Cobb Salad. After 7-10 days I'm ready for something lighter before the flight home.

Are you taking Magical Express or Driving back to the airport on your own? Driving on your own will give you much more flexibility with time and where you can head. If taking ME, give your self plenty of time to get back to the resort ahead of pickup to retrieve anything you may have stored with Bell services. You might want to avoid going to another resort not on your bus loop.

I like eating at the resort on our last day, just to take in the ambiance one last time.

If you're not already going there, grab an 11am breakfast reservation at Kona Cafe, get some tonta toast and pineapple macadamia nut pancakes, and call it brunch!

On our last couple of trips my husband and I have our last day meal at Paradiso 37 (DTD).
It's nice to sit outside and relax before making the trip home. (We have used DME and driven.)

Here's another vote for Sanaa. If you're staying at AKL or don't mind the bus trip, it's an awesome restaurant.

Kona Cafe is also a great choice if you're on the monorail!

If you're staying in or around Saratoga Springs, Turf Club is a great restaurant. We've been there a couple of times and the food & service was awesome both times (in fact, ate a lunch there before jumping on DME for our trip back to the airport when we stayed in the Tree House Villas). Plus I believe you can walk to Downtown Disney from Saratoga Springs.

We always make Boma our final day breakfast/lunch, then head to the airport. We don't have to eat until we hit the west coast.

We always take the 3:30 DME back, and we usually only have breakfast and maybe a snack at the park our last day, we usually have something to eat at MCO, as we always have 2 hours to kill before our flight leaves.
