Toy Story Mania closed all day so far (Jan 10 2014)

I've seen a comment on Twitter that there's a crack in the ride track. And that it may be closed for more than today. But I don't have any concrete information....
I have heard that it will reopen today. The issue was that as soon as it was ready to be turned back over, maintenance needed to do their checklist and then the operation still needs to their opening procedures. Kind of like insult to injury, but with all the safety rules, it is what it is.

Would not like to be at DHS today.

Surely this will demonstrate to the suits how much the park is crying out for family / group ride throughs.

It's pretty crazy. Lines for the other rides shot up to 50-70 mins on average. This after most stuff being 5-10 mins last two days. FP+ for other attractions is pretty much useless. FP+ Kiosk CM's are trying to pass of Lights Motors Actions as being a good use of FP+. And then addin backlot tour being closed, and muppetvision going down for a while, leaves 4 functioning rides. Heck , Great Movie Ride was pulling 30+ mins waits as well.

Meh - when I looked at wait times at Noon on my app it listed Tower at 60 and Coaster at 90. That's not insane thinking Toy is closed.

And, Toy is open again now.

Brutal... and all the Big wigs are in AK today. They should be over in DHS to see this mess
What mess? Toy broke down, it didn't burn down. The track record for Toy is pretty stellar.

Muppet down? Yeah, came right back up. Sometimes attractions go down not because of mechanical issues either. Ever notice the single rider line closed at Coaster? They often close that so paramedics can have full access to the attraction. Life happens at a theme park.

ok - maybe dramatic - but as stated above only four rides were function at the park at one point. That sounds....messy.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I think he meant the disaster that results when one of the park's few family rides closes down, and there are not enough other attractions to pick up the slack.
That's how I interpreted the comment, anyway.

Compared to the relative waits the past two days, it was a big difference. Now admittedly Toy Story doesn't eat that many people, but seeing how quickly the FP at the other rides jumped, and the sad choices they were trying to push on guests who didn't already have their FP+ booked is the bigger issue in mind. And yes, it is now albeit with a 90 min wait for standby.
