We start off the year with a really exciting permit. DC-6 is FINALLY getting a drain line for the sink!!! In all my visits to Disney I have always said that sink needed a drain line and it's finally happening! The pendulum is finally swinging back!

Could these be to remove the "Limited Time Magic" or "Make Memories" or whatever Disney marketing campaign those are from signs at the entrances to DAK and DHS?

Could be. It was filed by Page Piping, a contractor located in WDW's private contractor office area (Dopey Drive). Probably related to piping used for the water balancing and canal system - something very specialty, since they're using one of their preferred contractors.

Possibly, but only after creating another location for the water to be held. That's a large body of water, and is there for water management. I don't see how they could drain it without affecting the surrounding areas adversely.

Especially since we still haven't seen a permit filed with the South Florida Water Management district yet which would probably be required before they did something like that.

Sounds like a lot of hassle to file all these different permits for the same thing. At least we know Pandora broke ground today!

They all have their purposes. The permits I post about in this thread for example, which are actually Notices of Commencement, are mainly a tool for being sure contractors get paid on time.

The notice of commencement filed for this work has an expiration date of November 17, 2015. The permit referenced in the other post has a 5 year expiration which is probably just a standard duration.
