WDW Permits 2014

Not sure if this is related to the HUB refresh or the Casey's refurb, but the grassy area in front of Casey's Corner is totally walled off. If they were to turn that area into more concrete it would definitely help with traffic flow.

I've included a rough sketch of the location of the wall, but there are probably actual pictures of it on other sites.

I also believe the round planter area to the left of that area was recently removed.

Does anyone know how long this Casey's area hardscape project is going to take? I'm heading to Florida on 2/11 and really hope it isn't a walled-off mess at that point. I can't imagine this is a terribly complicated project.

It's too bad they don't make bathrooms into larger bathrooms.

It never ceases to amaze me that the mens room is always empty when there is a huge line in front of the womens.

Has a lot to do with "transaction times". Plus, Men's rooms have up to 50% more fixtures since they require less space. If anything, Women's rooms need to be enlarged to consume portions of the Men's rooms.

The was a very extensive discussion of this topic in one of the threads about the Tangled restrooms. Fascinating reading. ;)

As a former (hopefully future as well) WDW custodian, I whole heartedly agree.

Do we get to start another long bathroom thread now?

Does this mean that they are removing the Peter Pan ride??? It was my DH favorite, and he just got to ride it again, after riding 30 years ago with his DD who was 6 in DL. This was on his bucket list and I am really glad we got to do that...especially if it is being removed.

No. The ride is not going anywhere. I expect the addition of an interactive queue like what was added to HM and Pooh along with the queue growing in length to increase capacity. This will also keep guests out of the narrow walkways in that area.

Could also be for the removal of legacy fastpass equipment.

I was in MK today and there were a lot of walls around the old fast pass locations. Your suspicions are correct. I've also started noticing that they are swapping the fast pass LED (return time) signs for analog clocks.
