This system was TERRIBLE.

Got in line at 9:15 am. Waited over an hour just to put my name in the reservation queue. Which was 6 iPads on a table.....
Was number 589, and was Told that "it's going to be a few hours go and have lunch enjoy the parks blah blah but be in a 20 min radius because when you get that text you only have 20 min to check in. "

WHAT?!? You can't go anywhere on property and be in a 20 min radius?

when I came back at 2:30, ( still with no text) there was one girl with an iPad saying what number they were on, and the booth was full of ppl. No check in system. No line. Just chaos. It's like they had COMPLETELY abandoned the system. I walked in the booth to look at the shoes and the exhausted worker (so sweet by the way) asked my size. So I got my shoes and paid. I finally got my text at 4 pm. I'm sure hundreds who did NOT have a reservation got shoes before me. I saw every other person there with a new balance bag.

It was just completely disorganized, tragic mess. I do love my shoes, but never again. Whew.

Stupid. And there are already some pairs up on eBay. They should let the runners order them in advance, similar to what they do with the Dooney & Bourke bags. I'm really glad you got your shoes in the end. :)

We got ours this morning. Expo opened at 9, we were in line at 7:45 and had our shoes by 9:45 -- no issues with reservation, getting the text, getting checked in or purchasing our shoes. I got the Minnie pink ones and they are *adorable*. I want the Cindy ones next! Maybe Princess weekend for those :)

Glad you finally got them. How much did they cost?

Not if you aren't going to be able to goto the expo...
IMHO, If anyone pays $250 on ebay for a pair of shoes that retail on the New Balance site (same shoe, without Disney overlay) for $109.00, that is stupid.

$120? Sure, knock yourself out and I hope you love them and you rock them like you want.

To each his own, but an overlay of Cinderella, on a shoe that won't last 300 miles for an additional $141 is stupid in my book.

@joel_maxwell - Agreed. If you love the shoes and runDisney that much make sure you run a race during the year so you can get a pair. They are available at all expos, @Ariel484 had no problem getting last year's model at W&D, its always easier once the hoopla dies down.

Yeah, I was shocked at how easy it was. I think I was at the expo for W&D on Friday around noon or 1PM...waltzed up to the NB tent and asked for shoes in my size and they were brought right out. The NB rep was surprised that I was so surprised that they had any. I was expecting them to be out of my size after reading about all of the shoes getting snatched up early in the morning at other races. So I guess because W&D is the last race of the year and they were already working on the 2014 model, they just brought whatever they had left.

I will say this about the shoes...I have owned them for 3ish months now and have worn them once. They were definitely an impulse buy, and since they're not my normal model running shoe I'll never run in them. I'm not sure I'll get another pair - certainly won't jump through hoops to do so.

Just checked eBay and I'm seeing pairs being bid up to $200+, with buy it now options for $485!!! Insane! I think it's awful that people grab the shoes just to put them on eBay...runners should get first priority.

You mean like people who pay $200 more for an xbox or wii so they don't have to wait in line?

Some people just have different priorities...

You should also note your patronizing a company that charges more for EVERYTHING because it has Disney on it... from hotels to clothes to toys..
