Here is a new video of Imagination abandoned in 2013! Notice the little room with the computer in it? I wonder what this is?
Good question. Maybe because if you take the Undiscovered Future World tour you can request to go up there? Also i remember they did the Kim Possible thing up there. Ohh and the first dark room, the one after the rainbow tunnel, was completely destroyed! The exhibits were ripped out and things were ripped. You can also notice that the crystal on top of Dreamfinders spinny thing has been placed back (2012 video it was gone). Some very funky stuff goes on up top!I wonder why?
What I find the most fascinating about those and other pictures done recently of the upstairs area is that they have and are still paying cleaning crews to keep it shiny and bright. I noticed that railings, benches, old displays, etc. are all clean looking and ready to be used. That area has been closed to the public for a long, long time, yet, still looks good and has not been allowed to deteriorate the way that most abandoned areas are. I wonder why?
If Walt Disney Imagineering is using the space then it is not completely abandoned. What I find the most fascinating about those and other pictures done recently of the upstairs area is that they have and are still paying cleaning crews to keep it shiny and bright. Is it just me, or does it seem to be a liability issue for Disney that this abandoned area is so easily accessible to park visitors?
Not that I don't enjoy watching these forbidden videos, but it would seem to be a problem that this area is still accessible. It's open, unstaffed, and not monitored. And yet there is old equipment laying around, new computers and work areas with valuable and/or proprietary information on them, and various odd things that could get someone injured if they started playing around with it all.
From a safety and legal liability perspective, it's very odd to me that Disney hasn't closed this area off permanently with walls and locked doors.
