Just curious...what does how many days before someone arrives at Disney have to do with trip planning? Wouldn't that fit better in general discussion or trip reports? Just asking so please don't bash.

First, the thread is old (this is it's 9th incarnation), so some of it is that it's just always lived here.

Second, certain days are important landmarks when it comes to planning (180 days, 60 days, 45 days, etc)

That's the best guess I can give you.

No, not really. Part of planning a trip is counting down the days 'til it begins. Trip reports are for after the trip, and "general discussion" is about the parks. It might fit in ChitChat, but more people are likely to keep up with it in trip planning. JMO

4. Leaving Thursday once the kids get out of school. It's only a 3.5 hour trip. Woohoo! Going straight to Hollywood Studios to see the lights display and have my fast pass + for Toy Story Mania. We usually go to Magic Kingdom on our first day, but we're switching it up this time. MK will be the following morning and then Saturday night again since its open til 1:00am to see all the lights there.
