I find this to be a positive move, even if a small one compared to the lavish Small World and Mansion overlays over at DL. If this works out, maybe management might give a bit more thought into more seasonal overlays?

Early November, nice! I'll take it. It seems like this would be an easy thing for them to start doing around the parks more and more. You dont have to change the ride, but get the area into the holiday spirit.

These are the sort of low cost, relatively simple things that Disney can do to make the rides more enjoyable for the loyal, repeat guests.

I've always wondered way they don't do IASW Holiday at WDW. It doesn't change the message of the ride it moves it into a holiday's of the world context. Plus you get IASW and the Holiday Medley in different languages instead of one song over and over.

Simple reason. They do not feel that it will spin the turnstiles enough to offset the cost.

I think this is proof that WDW choose to opt out of overlays simply because they want to. According to this news, it has nothing to do with new guests not being able to see the real version.

This sounds like it could be really nice! It's interesting that the Magic Kingdom is receiving this overlay, considering how resistant the folks there seem to be to any kind of seasonal makeover to their attractions.

I guess it sounds nice, but I hate that they start holiday stuff in November. So sick of xmas on everything in November. This year, we have to go in November, and I am already irritated at all the xmas stuff. I seem to be in the minority though, and I can appreciate locals and ap'ers, who go several times a year, really enjoy all the decorations.
