The new NX in short:
The camera has a 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor with focus phase detection pixels. This means it has a hybrid contrast and phase detection autofocus system. It has a 1/6000s maximum shutter speed and shots 8.6 fps (Frames per second). It has a powerful 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB or RAM, and runs Android Jelly Bean (4.2.2) operating system. What’s huge is the 4.8-inch touch panel, and the same NX20 viewfinder. But the important part is that this camera has everything what a Samsung smartphone has. Full connectivity (even LTE) and APP support and so on. Price is yet unknown while release is sometimes in summer.

I can tell you one negative... Battery life is going to be a nice pain in the rear. Full connectivity with a massive LCD screen like that!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it. I can't see me ever wanting or needing 3G/4G connectivity on my camera. Maybe it's for the people who feel the need to upload every aspect of their lives onto social media? The idea of an "all-in-one" (whatever it is; smart-phone, smart-tv, tablet, etc.) is a great idea but there will always be some function lacking. I guess if it was an AWESOME camera that just happened to have smart features, maybe, but a glorified smart-phone with a decent camera? Not for me.

1. Does it come with Angry Birds?

2. Does the touch screen have a proximity sensor so your nose does not change settings while shooting? I still prefer using a view finder.

3. Would you use Instagram to look like you know what you are doing or "just" for photo sharing?

I can't accept an out of camera digital image... I've set up scenarios in my "office" where I shoot a still life with my D7000 and the other with my Mamiya. Same settings.. One requires post the other just produces the right goods. On the fly post? I'd have to practice that

I do need something more mechanical. As I think about it, the one thing I don't like about my NEX-7 is the digital menu and controls. Something like this would drive me batty.

Well..seeing how Android OS was initially designed to ONLY be used on cameras (making it a phone OS was an afterthought)...it seems samsung is going full circle.

I would like to say I find this device to be dead on arrival in sales..but the name samsung to so many people is the new "apple"..so there will be a lot of purchases based on brand alone.
