A Magic Band is not jewelry.

I was at the office today staring at my Disney World picture on the wall when a Magic Band flashed past my office door. "What was that?" I thought to myself figuring my Disney obsession had finally gone too far. "Oh great, now I'm hallucinating about Magic Bands."
But no, upon darting out and tracking down the Magic Band sighting, I saw a coworker proudly wearing her new band as a fine accessory to her business attire. She provided a thorough explanation of its capabilities when people would say "What is that?"
I am as big of a Disney nut and as the rest of us crazy folk here at WDWMagic but the Magic Band is not jewelry!

Wow. I'm barely sold on the idea of wearing it IN the park...I am shocked someone would actually wear it OUTSIDE the parks!!

Not gonna lie....I would probably do that.
I mean, yeah there is still stuff I don't like about the MM+ and FP+ systems but the band itself is pretty neat, IMHO.:cat:
I like it too! I'm counting down the days until I can choose my Magicband.

I hope I can customize mine with a character on it without it costing more money.

I want the Alice one. Is it one I can get for my trip in October?

I'm going to feel rediculous enough in the airport wearing the Magic Band to enter the ME queue can't imagine wearing it elsewhere, some people are just attention seekers. And she got it.

I live in N. IL and the Ryder Cup was up here last fall. We had met up with some old friends for pizza in a hillbilly restaurant in what was once an old home with a tavern just down the road from the Medinah Country Club where the Ryder was held. (Great Pizza though) Several small groups of people came in with their Ryder lanyards and big tickets in a plastic sleeve attached to the Ryder lanyard. The women didn't wear the lanyards just the guys. And yes, they got the attention they were seeking from many in the hillbilly restaurant.

Not jewelry but certainly a sign of corporate america running the show and that a little more of whatever was/is left of uncle Walt is dead and buried along with his hopes and dreams he left behind. Although it is probably utopian to hope that TDO management could cherish the legacy handed to them I wish shareholders interests could be tempered by the dream that got them the shares they were able to buy. Idealistic...definitely but I can dream...:angelic:

She was quite excited about it. I just don't share the enthusiasm she has. It was every bit as chunky and rubbery as I thought it was going to be, and maybe worse.

However it may be fun to tape a picture of the RFID door lock on all of our office doors. :D
