Feeling sorry for everyone at MK today...

Well it's summer and I was looking at the My Disney Experience's wait times. DHS and AK weren't that bad...and EPCOT wasn't out of the normal with Soarin' at 130 minutes and TSMM under 100 minutes. Then I got to MK and WOAH! Multiple attractions over 100 minutes but get this...Small World: 145 minutes!!!!! How??? Why??? The heat index is 96* today so everyone must just want to get outta the heat. The park hours were extended and a lot of people must be going due to the fact that they've been stuck inside due to tropical storms and rainy days. I just found it interesting and wanted to share to anyone that doesn't have the app :D

The small world time was probably someone screwing with the app. Undercover Tourist is giving me 30 minutes for it, which is still pretty long for that ride. Peter Pan is 80 minutes, that just insane too.

Wow! I'd just go back to the hotel and swim if that were the case! My Undercover Tourist ap says 30 mins for IASW, so hopefully yours was either off or the lines have calmed down. But, Peter Pan is at 80 mins (who would wait that long for that ride? honestly?). Otherwise the lines seem pretty normal for summer waits- 110 for Space mountain, 115 for splash mountain, 40 for POTC. And they've got MK marked as a green park! This just reaffirms my decision to go in September...

I think the red, green, yellow designations are based on what day it is and not the actual crowds. So just because on a bunch of Wednesdays the crowds aren't so bad its listed as green. Because there is no way this would get a green designation going by these wait times.

I'm going in 2 weeks. I think I'd abandon MK and head for WS at Epcot if the lines are like this.

Crowdsourced applications always give unreliable data. However, I would expect (based on historical data) crowds to be in the 50-65k range daily at MK until Labor Day.

Now that schools are out, avoiding WDW during daylight hours is advised.

Its hot and crowded. And hot. Did i mention hot?

My sister is there this week. I am beginning to have doubts we will be going at all now. Kid 1 starts Kindergarten in Sept, and Kid 2 will start in 3 years. Our only option will be end of May through last week of August. That option is sounding like a poor option. So..... :(

We are battening down the hatches here in Jersey for tomorrow. I sure hope no one at Disney is experiencing what we are up against

Trust me, anytime at Disney is a good time...but some times are just a little better than others ;) With a family of school teachers and students we have the end of May to August 5th this year...crazy! Not that we are going... :) After we went over fall break I don't think we'd go any other time!

you know the ENTIRE month of...(looks at calendar) june is red right? as in do not visit disney world =P

Anyone who visits these forums or is a fan of WDW knows that the busy season is upon us.

(*Not to be confused with absolute friggin misery that holiday season. Thats an entirely different nightmare)

Everyone knows that when the kids are off from schools, it gets super-busy at Disney.
